Tiger’s back: Woods returns to Burj Al Arab

Tiger Woods paid a visit to the iconic Burj Al Arab ahead of the 2017 Omega Dubai Desert Classic (2-5 February), where he will be hoping to add a third title to the two tournaments he won in 2006 and 2008.

The former world no. 1 famously hit golf balls from the luxury hotel’s helipad in 2004 and was back there again this year, taking a helicopter tour of the city alongside HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council.

Woods plans to open his own specially-designed 18-hole championship golf course in Dubai in 2019.
