Analysing Anfield: Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and the big difference between Liverpool and Man City

Manchester City v Liverpool. Pep Guardiola v Jurgen Klopp. It’s the big one on Thursday night as the outgoing Premier League champions take on the new Premier League champions at the Etihad.

But before Josh Williams and David Alexander Hughes get stuck into what many people thought would be a title decider, the Analysing Anfield lads have a little housekeeping to undertake.

After dedicating last week’s show to how Jurgen Klopp has made Liverpool champions, they take a look back at the 0-0 Merseyside derby draw at Everton and the 4-0 home win over Crystal Palace that set up the following night’s title party.

But the majority of this superb show is all about City – and their one big difference to the Reds.

Josh and David also look at Guardiola, and what would have happened if he had taken over Liverpool when Klopp did back in October 2015, the genius that is Kevin De Bruyne, and the areas where Liverpool will look to exploit on Thursday.

And they also quickly preview Sunday’s visit of Aston Villa’s Anfield. Without giving the game away, they don’t hold out much hope for Villa.
