The par 5, 3rd hole at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens in Oxford, Connecticut

The par 5, 3rd hole at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens is Mark Mungeam’s design recently voted as the toughest hole in Connecticut in a bracket-style elimination. This three-shot golf hole is pitched from right to left as it slowly gains elevation on its way to the green. Without a single bunker on this par-5, it uses the landscape well to narrow the options from tee to green. Players should favor the right side the entire way. There are a couple of landing areas that golfers can put their golf balls to give themselves the best chance of reaching the green in three. However, these have ledges that can throw their golf balls to the left and out of play. It will take three precise, well-executed shots to reach this green in regulation. Golfers will gain a stroke on any field with a par on this golf hole.
