Q.
The player took relief from a path (Immovable Obstruction), but dropped it in the wrong place. What is the ruling?
ANSWER BELOW

Answer:
There is no penalty, because the player hasn’t made a stroke at the ball that was dropped in the wrong place. He can correct his mistake by picking the ball up and dropping in the correct spot – within one club-length of the nearest point of relief.
If he did make a stroke at the ball dropped in the wrong place, he would incur a penalty of two strokes.
