Chris Killmer interview: Golf Psychology Strategies of Tour Champions

Chris Killmer is the latest Canadian Tour (PGA Tour Canada) Champion and I recently spoke to him about the mental strategies that have made him successful. Chris shot a four round total of fifteen under par to take the Canadian Tour Players Cup in Winnipeg Manitoba following a four hole playoff.

Chris is from Bellingham, Washington and is playing in his second year on the Canadian Tour (PGA Tour Canada) after graduating from the University of Washington.

Chris’ ultimate goal is to have a successful career on the PGA tour. Not surprising for a Canadian tour player. He has documented that goal and truly sees himself achieving it, but is more focused on his daily goals which he believes are the key to his current and future success.

What a great mindset.

He defines these daily goals as process goals which sound as much like goals as affirmations. “I will play to play great!” is one of several standout examples. In our interview, Chris shares the specifics of his powerful affirmation goals.

You will also hear about Chris’ mental strategy over the final holes of regulation and his playoff mindset that ultimately brought home a championship.

Chris talks about his daily mental routine, thought process on shots, and how he creates balance to keep his mindset focused and relaxed.

Chris’ championship performance is undeniably the result of great thinking. Have a listen to my interview with Chris Killmer to get his perspective on the mental strategies that make him successful….
