Each player is different, so it’s important to adapt a teaching strategy to fit each individual’s game. However, I believe there are two absolutes. Absolute No. 1 is you should not look at the ball.
When talking to Tour pros and good players alike, they say they have a broad view of the area in which the ball sits, not a narrowly-focused view. If there’s something you feel you must be looking at, look at the turf instead, because that’s where you want the club to land.
