Mo Vaughn is a former New York Mets slugger and the 1995 American League MVP with the Boston Red Sox. “The Hit Dog” joined Tina Cervasio on Sports Xtra on April 29, 2018.

Watch Tina’s extended conversation with Vaughn as they talk about his huge home run that rocked Shea Stadium in 2002, his thoughts on the Mets and the Red Sox today, and how he got involved in business ventures.

Topics not covered on Sports Xtra included: Mo’s assessment of JD Martinez, what he sees different in baseball today, his reflections on his former teammates (including Seton Hall teammates Craig Biggio and John Valentin), and how he watches MLB games today.

Vaughn got deep into how he learned about business, finding good business partners, and the advice he gives professional athletes today about not making the business mistakes he made.

From real estate to clothing, Vaughn has been busy since he retired in 2003. And in this interview, he unveiled his latest collection from his MVP Collections clothing line for big and tall men.
