Audi has parted ways with Formula E driver Daniel Abt after the German racer got a professional esports star to pretend to race as him in the Berlin ‘Race at home challenge’ round put on by the series. Abt was initially disqualified from the race and ordered to make a donation of €10,000 to charity for the offence, but things spiralled at the start of the week and by Tuesday he had lost his drive.
