Part 1 of REFORM! is here, in case you missed it: https://youtu.be/NqqaW1LrMTY?si=weXR8q4dU6rkygWF
Ross Perot wasn’t the only one fed up with the two-party system. In the 1990s, Minnesota resident Jesse Ventura joined Perot’s Reform ticket and stunned the American political establishment. It seemed as though the Reform Party had beaten all the odds to become a national political power. But as it turned out, the Reform Party was about to face its most daunting foe yet: the Reform Party.

I don’t miss a day a week kislux This show..
32:53 I'm a foreigner, so I was expecting the most outrageous name EVER to appear here. Nothing could surprise me. When that name appeared, I was flabbergasted beyond belief.
Secret Base, brought to you by pfizer.
And I thought that the Libertarian party infighting was bad.
33:25 – This has been proven to be false several times but John Bois is a Bernie boy
Stick to politics 👍
I would love to subscribe, you would probably be my first Patreon subscription…if and when I am no longer a poor.
Love your stuff though man, thrilled to be watching some new longform deliciousness.
6:51 subtitle miss: "and wants a loan" shows up as "and once a loan"
OK really the subtitles are a mess for ones nominally non-auto-generated. The AI took a swing-and-a-miss numerous times, and I'm just 16 minutes in. Just a heads-up for our hearing-impaired/muted friends.
That outro narration is a thing of beauty.
shout out to Jesse Ventura for being a genuine libertarian and not just a republican who smokes weed
Ventura supports Medicare for All now, at least
@26:26 😂😅
I knew it. It was Donald Trump. I was listening to you and then remembered his history. Then, I looked at this and was like oh yeah, this picture and Jesse Venture even in his 2016 Presidential campaign was still a fan of Donald Trump and said he would love to be his running mate I believe. Well, I think things changed from January 6th, 2021 exactly.
Even then Donald Trump was a Republican?! No wonder this guy has had the success he has had with them from 2015 onwards!😮
Maybe Donald Trump wasn’t a pro-insurrectionist sore loser back then. Who knows how he would’ve acted if what he did on January 6th, 2021 would’ve happened if he lost re-election back then. Or if he would’ve lost his election for President at the time let alone be a one-term President.
That Reform Party meeting occurred halfway between my birth and my middle brother’s birth.
he disapproves of immigrants, unless…….. THEY'RE WHITE
that got a guilty chuckle out of me
The silly reform party seems very serious I would have voted for for it if I was American
Jon Bois is so ashamed of being white that it’s not even funny
I feel like Jon started this series thinking he was going to have fun making it, and then halfway through this episode realized how much he hated starting this but can't turn back now
A masterpiece, as always. Never expected a story of a small-time party in another country to be so fascinating to watch.
How is George W. Bush less authoritarian than George H.W. Bush? W.’s the one who literally did extrajudicial torture.
What if Donald Trump saved the reform party?
I didn't understand most of the political words (probally since im clueless when it comes to politics+the fact im not an american) but none the less the video gave me something to stare at for an hour-5/10
"Can Trump win the Presidency? Of course not, that's never going to happen." Ah, the good old days, when we were younger, life was great, and Trump was irrelevant. We can at least hope to get back to at least one of those.
Ventura was right, he picked the guy who won… just 16 years too early.
Oh hi, Donald.
idk if it's super important but the subtitles/closed captions have a ton of small errors
I'm guessing they're automated?
You have a remarkable talent for this
