  1. Must have been a pool of sweat on the floor that didn't get cleaned up. Man, that was crazy.

  2. You can see while Taylor is running that his ankle or foot falters for a moment several feet back from where he fell (at the 6 min 4 sec mark right as he enters the camera frame); he keeps running and goes down about a second later.

  3. I broke my ankle a similar way skateboarding, I bailed to avoid hitting a kid off the ramp and I landed all my weight on my right ankle in what looked like a michael jackson drop half split. Funny in hindsight but my body weight obliterated my ankle

  4. Looks like his foot or the shoe primary got caught as he was running at a decent speed thus accelerating the process of injury .

  5. As someone who plays basketball, i just came to listen to how this could happen without contact, but i can't watch that sheeh. I'll keep him in my prayers

  6. Would loved your thoughts on Scottie Barnes injury from last eye. Jokic elbows him in the left eye, and he looked dazed and confused. Thoughts?

  7. 0:53 nah doc, his left foot slips, you can see it shoot out and he loses he balance. if you trip you fall forward, physics

  8. Nah… that ain't an ankle dislocation. His lower leg was hanging from his knee sideways. He got the nature of the rotation right, but the levy burst on the other side (the knee side, not the ankle side).

What he's looking at is probably a full meniscus tear.

  9. Had this injury last December – PER 4 fracture dislocation with a syndesmosis injury (or a Weber C). Fell in a similar fashion on ice in hockey. Skate twisted externally while momentum was going forward and down and effectively sat on my own ankle. The ligament damage and scar tissue is the main concern with athletics. The bone will heal quite rapidly. I was back to beer league sports at about 8 months post surgery and biweekly visits to physio and daily at home routine. I suspect it's not a career ender for him but everyone's recovery is different.

He'll be getting ORIF surgery – likely with some Arthrex Tightrope XP to stabilize the syndesmosis

  10. Oh my god man just a freak accident of an injury. Taylor’s still young, I hope he heals up fast.

  11. Watching at full speed it looks like he wobbles and almost loses balance as he passes the airlines logo. I wonder if an initial stress fracture occurred at that point which compromised the integrity of the bone causing it to fully break two steps later.

  12. Coming at you from Dallas. I'm a loyal Mavs fan but hey I wish Hendricks a safe recovery. Ouch! Man injuries like that make me cringe. Get better Tay, seriously. He'll be in my prayers for sure.

  13. Question: Would you be willing to do a video on the Nikola Jokic elbow on Scottie Barnes? Barnes could be missing out on $45 million dollars if he doesn’t make an All NBA team, and he’s set to miss a pretty dangerous amount of games as a result of an orbital bone fracture.
