ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Women’s Golf team travels to Georgia this week (Oct. 28-29) as they close out their fall season at the Mercer Invitational, hosted by Mercer University.
The tournament is played at the River Forest Golf Course in Forsyth, Georgia. The course is Par 72 – 6,041 yards, with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. It begins with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

About the Bulldogs: Asheville enters the tournament after competing in the Terrier Intercollegiate (Oct. 21-22). Asheville’s A Team finished in a fifth-place tie with Big South foe Gardner-Webb, achieving a 3-round score of 934 (308, 308, 318). Caroline Patterson had an excellent tournament, finishing runner-up individually. Patterson led the field with nine birdies after the first day of competition.
About the Tournament Field: The Bulldogs will play against tournament host Mercer, Terrier Intercollegiate Champions Samford, Daytona State, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Seminole State, Stonehill College, Tennessee Tech, West Virginia, and Conference foes Charleston Southern.
