When I was invited to the World Skeet Championships, I thought it would be a yawn fest – I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Turns out the NSSA World Skeet Chanpionships was an amazing experience. I found out that this sport is actually fun, and the people that do it are even funner!
Enjoy

Love the video. I have shot my 25 and it's why I love Skeet so much. Can't wait until Saturday.
Looks like tons of fun!
Jonny in cargo shorts!! Merica!! LOL 😄
Awesome
they got johnny to be quiet that is quite an accomplishment right there lol
You’ve done it again! Jonny! Awesome Content.
On trap doesn’t the bird just fly straight away? Where’s the fun in that? Lol
Watching Johnny toss the hulls in the garbage is making me nauseous
Love the videos of the more traditional shooting soorts like skeet. I feel as if in the sporting clays mad shooting world of today, the traditional trap, skeet, DTL etc are dismissed by some as "too easy". They're only easy until you're on the last station with one shot to go to your first 25/50/100.
Will we see Johnny at The Grand?
I know you have to showcase new and different guns on the channel, but I'd love to see you just shoot one gun for a year to see how much of a difference that makes.
Well? Tell us the important thing everyone wants to know. Krieghoff or Kolar? 😁👍🏼👍🏼
"Shoot off" sounds a lot like "freak off"
Johnny, Skeet is totally mental…My last World Skeet Shoot I broke 646/650…Talk about not having my head screwed on and totally engaged…I missed high 1 in the 12, 20, 410 and doubles…The only event I ran was the 28…There were several 650s so I didn't get a sniff…The shoot-off in 28 took 2 days to determine the winner…In those years the shoot-off was shot using the standard round of Skeet…The next year shoot-offs were doubles at stations 3,4 & 5…I shot a 10 pound 4 ounce Briley tubed Perrazi MT-6…I shot the 28 in all events except 410…As I've been telling you if you want to be successful in 410 it must feel exactly like the 12 that fits you and shoots most consistently…My 28 average was 99.8 and when I was shooting all 4 guns my 12 and 20 averages were lower than 28 thereby determining that I only shoot the 28 for 12, 20, 28 and doubles events…Jim at Longthorne could fit your 12 frame with sub bore barrels that balance exactly like your 12 or whatever O/U your shoot the best Briley or Kolar could fit you for tubes and my money is on you to win the British 410 Sporting Clay Championship…To get sub bore consistency the gun you shoot must feel and look exactly like your 12 bore …I purchased a Kriegoff 32 years 4 barrel set and it was a beautiful gun but I couldn't hit an Angus bull in the ass at 21 yards so I opted for one of Perazzi's ugliest guns as what many called the Buck Rogers special a MT-6 with the stripes on the sides of the receiver…Lots of 100's and 400's with Briley tube set…Go win that 410 championship!
Did anybody else notice no black people?, not that there is anything wrong with that!.
Another great video we'll done johnny!
way to go Johnny, great job
Way to go Jonny
While you’re in San Antonio please go to the San Antonio gun club. No membership needed to shoot and as a Brit you would get a kick out of seeing how it’s right in the middle of the city 😂
Wish I would have seen you there! Somehow I missed you. Good times!
Started shooting skeet 7 months ago, got hooked, hit my first 25 after 2 months, went and competed at one of the state championships, and hit my first 50 straight yesterday! Love this sport and the people that shoot it, glad you discovered it!
Great show, I really enjoyed it
Was American skeet really that different from English skeet to where you still considered this your first time? I know you said the targets were a bit faster in American skeet but I didn’t imagine the difference would be that big
Well done!! You captured the spirit of American Skeet!! Thank you for this!!
Skeet over trap 7 days a week, but sporting is king
"what your choke, gun combination liked". Please tell me more?
Have they invented a Tannerite hat yet?
Nice to see an Englishman with some medals well done Peter Chester.
Another brilliant video Jonny 👍👍💪
Sorry I didn't get down to Texas this year…but come next year. I'll buy you are 🍺 beer. Cheers
Great Vid, always enjoy your ramblings, the Americans are great hosts.
Try international skeet, think it's a bit more difficult.
Loved the easy station hits comment. Nothing humbles more than a loss on low 7.
You cant say that your the best in the world. As Long as you dont shoot olympik rules. And thats NOT American skeet! Try starting with the Stock,at your hip. And not pre Mount ! Lets see then
Nice meeting you there Johnny and thanks for the heads up on the golden clay!
Met Johnny at the world this year, treated me and my girlfriend like family!
Really enjoyed watching this, you do make some beautiful videos. Thanks 🙏
I for a kiwi it seems fitting that Andy Peter should cameo on a video about the NSSA Worlds. World famous in NZ! (14:30)
Welcome to the club next time you hunt quail you will thank skeet
Best video on Skeet! Good one Johnny Carter 👋👍
Brilliant film Johnny. Thanks to you all. Perhaps changed my love hate relationship with Skeet 😅
Ooooooh. You did really well. There is a real and subtle pressure gradient in that type of shooting.
Best ever. A dream shooters paradise 👌
For anyone watching this from the UK and who would like a go at NSSA skeet it is available in the UK. Look up the British Skeet Shooting association. They will point you in the direction of one of the hosting grounds for "any gauge" and then there is the 4 championships they hold each year.
0:39 nesting pair I’d like to smash lmao
Steve and Jim Malcolm are great guys, Jim organizes a ton of shoots up here in Ontario, Canada!
I went to the ladies open for the first time 🙂
