The Chiefs are the lone unbeaten team in the NFL as Week 7 comes to an end. They stayed that way by stifling the 49ers in a 28-18 win. The league’s other undefeated team at the start of Week 7, the Vikings, suffered their first loss at the hands of the Lions, who also moved into first place in the NFC North. Robert Mays and Derrik Klassen discuss those two games, and a whole lot more, on this episode of The Athletic Football Show. #nfl #week7 #football #nflfootball

Bengals definitely frustrated me as a fan. I love how the guys cant wrap their minds around how inept the offensive playcalling has been. As someone who watches every game im fully aware of it and the vindication is… nice. The fandom is turning to my POV but unfortunately the front office will never make major changes.
Greetings from Germany, enjoy the show with a nice cup of morning coffee 🙂
that third down pass call by the Texans was very confusing. i honestly expected them to throw on third down but I expected it to be a shot to the endzone or maybe even the first down line. what in the world does a pass to the boundary before the sticks/endzone do to help you?! you stop the clock for the other team, and all you could possibly benefit from that is a better field goal shot. but it's already a 35 yarder for one of the better kickers in the league so making that into 20-something does nothing. either run the ball and remove another timeout, try and get the touchdown to make the comeback extremely difficult, or try and get the first down to pretty much seal the game. anything except what you did!
Not sure why you wouldn't do colts dolphins when Anthony Richardson first game back was absolutely worth discussing
Geno plays great in the games that no one watches. Like a tree falling in the woods 😢
This is cynical AF, but couldn’t the DTR move have been an owner demand to dis-incentivize the coach from benching Watson?
Big fan from London. Keep up the great work!
I get the Goff's final season in LA was underwhelming and the Super Bowl loss to Brady where the Rams offense was stifled with most of their playmakers injured and out of the game, but there is some wild revisionist history that takes place by analysts with what Jared Goff did and didn't do in LA with the Rams during the four seasons after his rookie lame duck year with Jeff Fisher.
Goff had back to back 4600+ yard passing seasons with the Rams. You don't do that if you can't handle pressure. Goff averaged over 250 yards/game passing with the Rams over his final four seasons there including a 293 pass yards per/game season and a 289.9 pass yards per/game season.
Most QB's now might only put up a game like that a couple of times per season going on what QB looks like in the NFL now. To act like Goff wasn't a high performing QB with the Rams because he had a dip in production his final season when the Rams' weapons were injured is a pinocchio take I keep hearing him get labeled with years later. Goff and Gurley led one of the best offenses in the league for a few years. No one rightfully gives Stafford crap for all of the injuries to the Rams playmakers this year, even though his stats will negatively reflect their absence. Yet Goff, under similar circumstances his final year in LA with the Rams is only remembered for the down year their team had.
It's very odd for a guy that had stellar seasons with the Rams to white wash them. He had every bit as good or better seasons with the Rams as he's had with the Lions. Love Goff, but the Lions didn't make Goff who he is or special. Goff was special before he got to the Lions, the league just forgot that.
They had 150 yards running the ball. They did great running the ball. What more do you want.
The final conversation about contending and championship windows really resonated with me.
When you miss opportunities to win a SB you don't always keep rallying back with the same core. Eventually that window closes and you are left with what could've been.
Sunday was pure AFC North football, I’m not worried about the Bengals offense whatsoever
You brought up the block on the Raymond TD, am I wrong or are you not allowed to block people in the back? Should have been a flag I thought
Hey guys hope you're doing well today. Mr.Ruiz needs to move Goff up his rankings. He has 2 definitely maybe 3 that are definitely not better than Goff.. Lawrence, Dakota and 40 yr old Rodgers
Someone Else Said (it may be true) that in the 1st qtr Flores showed blitz and blitzed then for the rest of the game showed it & dropped it back, perhaps expecting intimidation alone to carry the day? Anyhow, wondering if anyone else noticed this. (I don't have All Access).
