Random stranger who is dressed for golf and "happens" to have all his gear in the middle of a random parking lot that is pretty much empty? Hmmmm….really? Also, what +1 golfer sprays his driver that much. Something seems a bit inflated, or deflated depending on how you look at it.

I've been to a club fitting. It's nice to try different shaft and head combination, but the drawback is that they usually have just the current year model so you'd be paying the current year's retail price. Would be nice to get fitted with the prior year's model for lower cost.

Matt, I’ll pull up in whatever parking lot I need to to have this level of fitting done. Man I’m sitting here contemplating my life decisions.
This guy has friends that throw around $600 clubs. Not a great choice for the fitting. A mid to high handicap player would have been better suited for the fitting.

Matt, I am a couple of hours away from you, near Chateau Elan, which you have filmed at before. I do not know what my handicap is, but I know it is high. I am not too proud to beg. I have never been fitted, but I would be forever grateful to receive a fitting.
A +1 is a guy who sells insurance
A +4 is a guy who sells Titleist
A + 7 is a guy who gets free Titleist gear
A + 11 is a guy who lives in Jupiter Fl on Titleist Ave next to Tiger

Great concept. The guy being a +1 kinda takes away from it. Maybe next time, ask for their handicaps til you find a mid or a high.
I feel like a beginner golfer or your average once or twice a month golfer would have given a better insight as to how much a fitting can improve your game, not a guy that’s a +1 that plays in tournaments and has top dollar clubs.
It would be cool to see a Senior Golfer 7-10 handicap get 10 more yards, that would be mind blowing. Thanks Mat for showing what these fitters can do for us.

A +1 random golfer who just happened to have his clubs with him?? I know it would be much easier to find an extra 10 yards for a 15 handicapper. I believe you are an honest guy, but this is a little farfetched.
I am 6-2 180 pounds. I am a short hitter. I went for a driver fitting. They increased me 12 mph on Shaft alone. I kept my New Cobra head I was using. SO you would think 12 mph would get me more distance. Not really.

The problem with the avg golfer is we don’t swing the driver the same way 2x in a row. So even when we find a driver we like, we still only hit it god 30% of the time
Went to club champ, fitted me into a Srixon ZX5 mkII ls with a 450.00 shaft… nope. I play 4-6 times a month, can’t justify paying 1100 for a driver.
