  1. im a 8 hc .keep lipping out putts or missing by 1/2 inch .probably 6 times a round .always on high side cos i was told never miss low..id be off 2 hc if they were slightly bigger holes .i don't know what to do to hole them its bizarre . plus i leave about 9 putts short per round doesn't help..come to think of it i should be on tour if i holed putts.lol.

  2. One thing you are missing is looking in the first couple of feet directly on your line for a mark on your chosen line so you put on your line not at the hole because focusing on a point 10 20 feet away is hopeless.
Just like in a bowling alley the put markers ahead so you can get your ball on the correct line.
Another good tip is put for a right hander with your left elbow going on your chosen line preventing a wrist flip through the impact zone.
Keep the putter head low to the ground to get top spin.
Then have your address position ahead of the center of your putting swing so you are hitting up on the ball.
Then the further you are away from the hole stand up taller which gives you better focus triangulation (ie like a range finder )on distance and a freer swing at the ball.
    Uphill grip firmer
    Downhill grip lighter
Fast greens put towards the tip of your blade.
Last keep head down after last look for distance lifting your head early causes a pull.

  3. One tip I've found helpful is after you do all your"aligning", when you finally address the ball, put your head somewhere where you still believe the line.

  4. Massively overhyped opener – you sound desperate to draw people in – build followers with value not hype – I won’t believe you going forward!!!!!

  5. Where’s the bit about how far back the putter goes? Also if that’s the only putting lesson I’ll ever need shall I forget about speed control? 🤷‍♂️

  6. Alex I feel like you need to start playing YouTube golf. You have a good way of teaching and a good show of it!

  7. Try a 1M (3ft) long metal ruler from the hardware store. If you can roll the ball end over end over the length of the ruler (on a level surface) you are squarely set up.

  8. I’m sorry but these like so many other “tips” take you 1/2 hr to explain ONE simple tip that can take 3 minutes… come on geeeez

  9. Doesn't matter much if you can't read greens like a pro. Most folks aren't playing Ryder Cup. Put the ball down guess the line and power needed. GET CONSISTENT BALL CONTACT, or everything else is just so much rat sh"t. And with a bit of luck you errors in alignment will cancel out your errors in green reading. If the ball drops, lovely. If not getting consistent ball contact will allow you to gain useful experience and learn the correct pace required leaving you with a tap-in for a two-putt.

  10. Clickbait thumbnail. Nothing new here folks. I typically like your videos but this was nothing great and nothing to do with the thumbnail.

  11. Another viewer who felt the thumbnail didn't match the video. However, that is not why I have commented.
I liked the tips on using the sleeve box as an alignment aid. Also, the tip on hanging the arms, to work out shoulder alignment is really good. Thanks.
My takeaway (excuse the pun) on using the line on the ball. I tried this for some 6 months, a number of years ago. I felt it contributed to over-thinking my putts, which made my putting stats go up. So, I stopped it, & went back to using my putter shaft, to align to a spot, some 3 foot in front of the ball. When my technique/confidence is there, I have very good putting stats (I always try & aim for 30 putts, as I always record my putting stats, on the scorecard. As a 9-13 handicapper).
I also stopped making practise swings, as I felt that mentally they took away from my actual swing. Similar to the likes of Aaron Baddeley. It also prevents that dreaded over-the-ball possible procrastination.
Finally, I have never been able to visualise the action when coaches would say, swing from the shoulders. Thanks for not talking about that. Instead I have always preferred to, swing from the diaphragm. that way the arms & shoulders cannot become disconnected.

  12. Good video lesson but I usually unsubscribe from tubers that show clickbait. It demonstrates no respect for my time.

  13. Can't tell if this is useful. I can't figure out if you've over complicated the exercise, or you've over complicated the explanation of a simple exercise 🤷🏽‍♂️

  14. I've played golf for 34 years, I promise you this aliment issue is the biggest key. Our eyes don't work well aiming from the side you have to use an alignment trick.

  15. That tip about dropping your hands down and see where they naturally fall is brilliant. My left was a lil closer than my right. I zm a fairly good with the putter (around 32 putts a round) but my most famous miss is left. Hmmmm… thanks to you, now I understand. Great gems as always… that's a good one I must have missed last time I watched. Thank you!!
