  1. This isn’t a fair test. You have been putting with the LAB all year so you should putt better with it. I have an Allen putter and struggled with it for about a month before I got the feel for it and now I really like it. Just my 2 cents

  2. Great review! I got my standard DF3 (no upgrades) a couple weeks ago and after learning how to make the proper stroke, it immediately improved my mid range and short putts, helping me win my recent club matches. I'm very happy with the purchase!

  3. Ordered my custom DF3 about 3 weeks ago and still waiting for it to arrive. Can't wait to get it out on the course.

  4. I been considering a Lab putter but can’t get over the looks. I think the Allen putter just solved that issue for me. I just scheduled a fitting at the Orlando store. I was overdue for a road trip.

  5. I’d love to see a lab/torqueless putter vs blade putter review. I’m thinking once you get used to either – there isn’t much difference. I have a DF3 and plenty of toe hang putters and feel is definitely different, however misses and makes are the same.

  6. I actually struggled with distance control (especially on fast greens) with the DF3 but the Allan has been much better… for me anyway

  7. I’m waiting for the oz.1 proto to be available. I play the pxg gen 7 irons and pxg putter (not the Allan ). I really liked the link 1 actually testing it at the store. Doesn’t seem to get a lot of fanfare online. But I like half moon mallets most though anyway

  8. Thanks for the overview. As one who plays the original DF 2.1, it was interesting to hear your comments on where these two fit. I also believe that this is the beginning of a revolution in the putter industry with the no torque putters. Within two years, almost all new putters will be torque free.

  9. I have the PXG and it is phenomenal. Currently off a 1.9 and was fit on a sam lab for my previous gamer Bettinardi. The Allan is just easier. I've had it for a month and am blown away by how much better it is. Different tech than the LAB and I like it better.

  10. Great review. I’m researching these putters along with the Honu putter. What are your thoughts on the Honu putter?

  11. Been using the LAB this summer and the distance control is excellent. No interesting in switching, It’s the Indian not the arrow.

  12. I had both and the Allan just got returned. Feel and sound is awful but I do agree it looks good. The DF3 just does everything right.

  13. I’ve had 2 df3’s, the standard and the cb model. Neither has beaten out my older Ping Ketsch. Tbf the new Cameron LD putters didn’t even come close to the LAB, much less the Ketsch. Now custom ordering a DF3 to see if a custom one can beat my 10 year old putter haha.

  14. I feel like if you can afford it why not… But as a high handicap golfer you have so many other flaws that I don’t know that a $600 putter is a worthwhile investment. $600 would probably get me enough lessons to improve putting, chipping and course management.

  15. Recently switched to a DF3 standard 34" and it's working great. Definitely need to put a bit more oomph into longer putts than my OG #7 but shorter putts are a bit easier to get the pace right. I love the feel and looks of OG Whitehot but DF3 is holing more puts. It's easier for me to hit my start line so I can focus more on pace. Interesting thing that I've learned is that putting well with the DF3 is also improving my putting with the #7. I'm a 16 index golfer and putting is the weakest aspect of my game. The DF3 has been worth it to me but I'd probably be equally happy with the Allen.

  16. Enjoyed the review. Just secured a DF3. Got me thinking, anyone ever had 2 putters in their bag of 14. One for long, one for short. I will try anything!

  17. My first round today with DF3. Shot 79, I’m a 14 hcp. 6 one putts, 4 three putts and 1 four putt, the rest 2 putts. When I let the putter do the work it was awesome, I did have issues with distance control on the holes I putted bad on. Putts were right online, just shot 6-8 feet past. When I dial in the feel for lag putts I will love this putter. The DF3 is heavy, but it feels light due to being balances. Sometimes when I had a 8 foot lag, I would blow it by on the line I aimed at. At least 3 putts hit the hole but we’re going so fast they lipped out. I could have shot close to par today if I could have gotten the distance dialed in.

  18. Love the video Gabe! I switched from a Scotty Cameron Newport II blade to the DF3. I’ve shaved about four putts off my rounds. I absolutely love my LAB putter!

  19. Great review. I go back and forth as well. I wonder how you would feel having heavier weights on the DF3?

  20. Both seem like great putters. People need to try them. See which one appeals to them and has the best feel to them.
I like the look of both, so that isn’t an issue for more. I still use an old two ball odyssey putter that I will be sticking with.

  21. Good video, I have a Link putter from lab and it’s great. Like you’ve said before putting involves a huge personal preference. I struggled with the LAB putter at first because of the center shaft and how close it is to the face on the Link. The Allen putter probably would have suited my eye better with the hosel design but it wasn’t available when I purchased the Link. Regardless both putters perform great, I definitely prefer the look of the Allen especially over the DF3. That’s a tough one to look at and was the main reason they designed the Link lol

  22. I have a Ping Anser D that is now on sale for $200 on many websites and I LOVE that putter! over $500 for a putter is insane

  23. I really enjoy your channel but those short misses were all on you in my opinion. Can't blame those on the PXG.

  24. I see lots of comments on reviews about the weight/feel of the PXG. I currently game a PXG that I was fit for. If you do the fitting process they will swap the weights to get the right feel and results for you. Makes a huge difference. My putting has never been better with my PXG.

  25. Gabe, I am so glad that you came through the hurricane virtually unscathed. I hope. You have not spoken of it.

  26. As i said on your last vid. on the Allen, i was remotely custom fit for by LAB for my DF3 over this past summer. Counterbalanced, 36 inches, 72 degree lie angle, 17 in. SS grip, heavier head option. and NN head alignment marking. I use it choking down about 2 inches. The key for me is the custom lie angle, which is fit for my stroke . you cant get that with any other company. It's worth every penny so to speak. I know if i miss a very makeable putt its on me for either a misread or wrong speed.
