Keep the Triangle intact (Golf Swing Slow Motion Iron)

  1. -Keeping the triangle intact during the swing helps transfer energy from your body to the clubhead, resulting in more power and accuracy.
-By maintaining the triangle, you create a wider swing arc, allowing the clubhead to travel a greater distance. This leads to increased clubhead speed, which generates more energy to transfer to the ball at impact.
-Additionally, the triangle helps you stay on the proper swing plane. Maintaining this shape ensures the clubhead follows the correct path, leading to more precise and controlled shots.
But as always, take it one step at a time. Focus on one area and master it before moving on to the next.

  2. Tons of width on the backswing yet very little wrist action. What amount there is comes late. Interesting. That is very much like both Jack Nicklaus and Scotty Scheffler during their backswing. There is not even a hint of setting the wrists early or wrist cocking…whatever you want to call it. IMO …. I call it manipulating the club with your hands on the backswing. Which in my opinion is not ideal because doing so can easily jeopardize the integrity of the swing path and plane. So you have the current #1and #2 along with Nicklaus all with very little wrist action on the backswing. Curious, I would love to see some ball striking data showing a comparison betweem the 'early wrist set/hinge/cockers' versus players with late wrist action!

  3. How does a person NOT keep the triangle given the shoulders are wider than the two hands overlapping a single point?

Do you have any examples of this being broken?

The think I noticed is how little the right hand is gripping the club.
