On this week’s episode, the fellas breakdown the Kansas City Royals’ opening series versus the Minnesota Twins, look at how some of the off-season additions are doing, and preview this week’s games.
Plus, an anecdote about how Mike and Marcus lived in their early 20s … gross.

Welcome back to Royals Weekly, I am your host Marcus Mead and joining me as always a man who is not fun for the whole family, my brother Mike.
Mike (00:08.385)
fun for a little bit. This guy participated in Easter egg hunts. I went to the zoo yesterday. That is wholesome family fun.
Marcus Meade (@royalsweekly) (00:12.872)
Yo, you did an Easter egg hunt?
Mike (00:16.737)
Well, kind of. Within our own house and within our mother’s house. Those were the Easter Eggheads.
Marcus Meade (@royalsweekly) (00:19.752)
Oh, okay. All right. I was thinking that you just randomly went to an Easter egg hunt and you yourself were just mowing over kids, mowing over kids looking for candy, just candy and eggs, just mowing them over. That seems more your move. But all right, okay. Okay, yeah, I figured as much. On this week’s episode, we’ll break down an underwhelming opening series for the Royals, but at least they got a win today. That was nice to see. We’ll discuss what we’re seeing from the newly acquired Royals. Start sort of checking.
Mike (00:24.787)
Left the kid at home. Left the kid at home for that.
Mike (00:33.057)
Cleaned house.

on those newly acquired players after the first series. And then we’ll preview this week’s games, which see the Royals go to Baltimore for one away series and then come back for a four game series against the White Sox. It’s weird. Usually if they’re making a trip to one of the coasts, they’re doing it for a couple of series, two or three, just one in Baltimore and then right back to Kansas City. So it is what it is, as I say. First, I want to remind you, follow us on all the social medias, Twitter, X, whatever it’s called, threads for Mike, Facebook.

sports injuries, or any kind of injury or pain.

I need someone to help with the pain of rejection I felt when I asked Bethany Finkelmeyer to the 8th grade dance. Why am I not tall enough? Why am I not tall enough, Bethany?
Marcus Meade (@royalsweekly) (02:25.96)
Let it go, man. It’s been 25 years. All in physical therapy is owned and operated by Tommy Freiver with locations in Blue Springs and Lee Summit, but most importantly, they’re in network for nearly all insurance providers.
