Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. My pro got me using his during a lesson. It worked very well . I have since brought one but have not used it yet ! Doh! But I got a 2 hour session on the range this evening, so I will be taking it

  2. If you practice on grass you can literally achieve this by sticking an alignment stick in the ground?

    Or am i missing something?

  3. If you hit at an outdoor range you can bypass the plate altogether and just stick the alignment sticks into the ground. People have been doing that for years. I suppose this helps for those who only have access to indoor ranges or a lot of winter conditions though.

  4. Review the ProSendr. I have been using it and it's great. Doesn't force you into anything but makes you responsible for getting into the right wrist positions

  5. Hundred bucks for a chunk of metal and 2 alignment sticks? Chuck a club on the floor and prop another one onto a range basket for free.

  6. Couldn’t you just use the ground to point your alignment stick in? That way there’s the saved money for Guinness. Just a point.

  7. I’m looking for any reason to dislike this. I think almost all aides are just gimmicks. This seems rather straight forward and makes perfect sense. Forces you to correct your path without all the technical talk and confusion.

  8. i took lessons early this year for the first time ever. I was swinging massively over the top since I was 14 years old and I am 53 now. The pro showed me how to level out my swing and I was good at lessons, but 30 years of swinging improperly constantly came back. I have this training aid in my garage and weekly I just take practice swings using it to keep my swing from the inside out. I am striking the ball consistently for the first time in my life. This is a great tool if you are a slicer and come over the top.

  9. yes, it should come with a soft noodle; otherwise I would be afraid of breaking my lightweight graphite shaft.

  10. I need out-to-in aid but only for my driver. My irons are straight but connection is inconsistent

  11. Exactly what I was working on yesterday and will keep doing with GC Quad. However, for a fraction of the cost of Quad, this looks to be a great tool.

  12. I fear someone is going to pierce their skin on the end of that alignment stick. I'd almost guarantee the maker will get sued very soon.

  13. Would love it if there was an aid that could help me hit cleaner. I tend to hit 2-3 inches behind the ball when i miss. It goes straight, but i lose so much distance.

  14. You need to be careful with only looking at "resultant" club path, what you need to be more concerned with is swing direction (i don't know what foresight calls it) which is the direction of the clubhead WITHOUT the angle of attack. Remember, club path is a 3D measurement and takes into account angle of attack (AOA). So Rick is achieved a 0.7* in to out 3D resultant path but he did that with a 8.9* downwards AOA (much too steep). Remember the d-plane, hitting "down" shifts the path to the right. No one would say a ~9* AOA with a 7 iron is a great way to play golf. What this basically is showing you, is that Rick's swing direction is much more out to in, say like 7* but because he is hitting down on it almost 9* the RESULTING path is 0.9*. If you have access to a TM, Flightscope, or foresight with club data you have to HAVE to monitor swing direction and AOA and then let the club path be what it may be. Look up the TM averages for AOA for a 7 iron, it's between 2.5 and 4* down depending on LPGA or PGA tour. Always make sure you understand the above or work with an instructor that does. Otherwise you are just "chasing numbers" and may not end up with a functional golf swing.

  15. People whining about price. The biggest benefit from purchasing training aids are the training videos that come with them. Tour Aim and The Golfers Toolbox also do these same drills but can me expanded to other drills and the videos you get with the purchase is where the value is.

  16. Love training aids specifically like this one. I’ve got the Tour Aim one and it does the same thing but it’s a lot easier to carry around in the golf bag because the metal/plastic base piece is entirely flat. Just pop the alignment stick in the holes they’ve drilled into it!

  17. One bad swing on your driver to this training aid, you can kiss the club head bye bye with that metal material.

  18. I would really like to see the Momentous club and the Lag Shot. If you had to pick one, I would say the Lag Shot.

  19. Sooo basically this video went from a product review video to an ad because he’s selling it on his store lol

  20. Now to be honest this sort of review is most useful and as mentioned by others like to know what the most useful aids about

  21. Good stuff. Would be good to see more training aids and practice stations that could be set up at range or in sim.
Was considering buying one of those also thinking of the one at start of video.

  22. Budget version: stick alignment rod in the ground. Even if you don’t have access to a grass range you can still practice path without hitting a ball.

  23. I guess sticking an alignment aid in the ground at the correct angle would work similarly, right?

  24. Like training aid videos, something to make practice sessions more productive. Something to deliberately work on rather than swing away, would like to see the Prosendr
