Get some proper crocs that have sport mode.

  2. SpecialSuit424

Leave him alone on the clothes, what is this middle school? Keep it up and enjoy it, decent swing already!

  3. Lamar_Allen

Why are the people on this sub so fucking weird. He’s at a range who gives a fuck about his clothes.

  4. Glum-Bottle8313

Don’t go back so far. It’ll lead to inconsistencies. Other than that it’s nice

  5. GolfGodsAreReal

That’s a pretty good swing for 1 month in and all the other smartass remarks are from the people that wish their swing had this much potential.

  6. C_Schuck6

I’m a plus handicap and have taught hundreds of lessons. If the course doesn’t have a dress code wear whatever you want. Ignore these dweebs.

Your move is ridiculously good for being a month into golf.

    I’ll give you 3 things

-Work on staying connected or “holding off” the finish. Swinging with a towel under the armpits is a good drill to get the feel. This will keep your shot dispersion tighter (left and right). watch Tommy Fleetwood swing videos to get a visual

-grind short game (30 yards and in) if you want to score better

-get athletic in your lower half. Think about how you would push into the ground if you were getting ready to jump up to grab a rebound in basketball or pop an Ollie on a skateboard.

Keep grinding sir your ceiling is high

Your head moves quite a lot when you swing, I think.

  8. Looks really good for a month in man keep it up!

  9. Get lessons from a coach you respond well to, looks pretty damn good for a month

  10. fnassauer

Honestly. Maybe get some lessons to tweak minor things, all things aside that’s a great swing for 1 month and even 2 years. Probably better than most people in the sub

  11. AceMercilus16

Everyone complaining about his attire wishes they had this swing.

This is incredibly impressive for a month in. Keep at it! Maybe look for a local coach to help. The losers in here won’t be of much help.

I’m 57 hear old 3 handicap. You’re swing is ridiculous for a month.. But stop now and take lessons before instinct develops into very bad habits.. Enjoy the journey..

Ps.. FYI my hair was also that length 30 years ago.. Miss those days

  13. Keep your head down. you seem to be leaving a bit early.

  14. GrandaddyIsWorking

Dude great swing for 1 month in, people who pick up golf as an adult tend to have some wild swing

Great swing for one month. Keep it up!

  16. CarrotOk1482

Great swing for just starting out, keep it up.

  17. dtcstylez10

Quit now. your mental health will thank you.

Clothes don’t matter unless there’s a dress code. But get decent shoes, not Crocs or any other slipper flipflop deal. Ideally, something with cleats or knobs to grip into the grass and turf so your feet don’t slide and rotate unnecessarily. May look goofy or whatever if it’s not your style, but it will 100% improve your game. Golfing always starts from the ground up

Your swing will be great if this is a month in. I’m guessing you pull or top ball a bit? You have something that I can’t describe well, but see it all the time. When about to make contact, your hands are pulling through, leading to that lack of rotation/body connection that was mentioned. Go shake your arms about and do some windmills. Then focus on finish out in front of you, then around, NOT just pulling it through like you are trying to pull hit a baseball. I’m hoping someone can describe the fix better for what I’m talking about

  20. osurainman

Keep playing! What a great start it looks like you’ve gotten off to!

  21. MetroJuulin

Jesus, I wish my buddy looked like this a month in… he’s almost a year in and can’t hit shit. At this point, we’ve told him he just needs lessons. Me and my other friends have given him every possible pointer we have 😂

  22. Tricky-Jackfruit8366

Way ahead of the curve if you’ve only been playing for a month. Remember the short game too though

  23. Sqwalker1

One month? Your swing is great for only a month! The biggest thing I can suggest is slow down a little bit. The transition from your backswing to your downswing seems just a bit rushed.

I can’t exactly tell, but it does seem like your hands are slightly lagged behind at impact.

Overall, for one month in… great job.

  24. Capable_Leadership34

great body action, maybe consider another lie of your club (2° down maybe?) otherwise you seem to be a natural

  25. Sobeshott

I thought for sure I was gonna be alone but came to the comments and everyone saying the same thing. Your swing is great for a month in. Where are you coming from? You seem to have done something athletic before.

  26. EnthusiasmGlobal

Slow your backswing and lose the crocs!

  27. i_Cant_get_right

Looks good for your time in. You might consider some different shoes. I’ve tried to get some range time with flops before, and don’t get the quality session I’d get if I had shoes that actually stayed on my feet, without actively trying to keep them on. Not saying better players can’t. Hell, John Daly goes out there barefoot. Just my two cents.

  28. Dogfart_

You’re standing on the wrong side of the ball for starters

  29. Ripskater

Looks great! A lot of good tips on here too!
Always think simple. The small swing changes make the difference, not major swing changes.

Left side is drifting backward. Focus on not drifting. Don’t change anything else. Plenty of people don’t have “perfect” swings and are single digit handicappers. Keep going! You’re going to get good in a year.

Also someone said on here to practice at 30 yards and in. This couldn’t be better advice!

  30. jackoliverlane

With so many changes that you could make I would first focus on compressing the ball rather than trying to scoop the ball off the floor and into the air. Imagine you’re trying to drive the ball into the ground and in doing so will take a divot after the ball. A good contact over swing plane in my opinion.

  31. Drewboy810

Well, for one.. you’re standing on the wrong side of the ball.

  32. Ok_Taro_6928

Okay step one is we are going to put our irons in the bag and find some shorts that fit

  33. Musclesturtle

A good swing for 1 month.

It seems that you have a good sense for getting into the slot in the downswing.

One tip I wish that I had sooner was to not overthink technique. As in,don’t try and tweak too many things at once. Just work on one feel at a time until it’s ingrained and move to the next if you need to.
