Why 90% of Golfers Can’t Hit Their Irons Correctly – Just Lock These In

This is why you struggle to hit it irons properly 👇

1. You don’t have control over the low point in your golf swing
2. Your right hand is on the grip correctly
3. Your right arm locked at set-up
4. You turn in the golf swing as apposed to pivot

What’s great is if you have any one of these faults in your golf swing they are really easy to fix. So if you are looking at how to hit irons consistently this can make an instant impact on the quality of your ball striking not just with your irons but with your driver too.

For example if you want to hit your driver straight just getting the forearms aligned at address will be a real eye opener for you.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. When some coaches talk about width in the backswing are they meaning like you get your arms as far away from your body as you can into your backswing and this is where I kind of get confused because your seems more logical to keep the golf swing more compact I've recently fell into a 6-7 months slump here it's been tiring you searched high and low to find your swing again

  2. Yet another great video, so look forward to Saturday mornings just need to transfer it to oncourse. Thanks Danny.

  3. Hello, is the club path identical during the BS and the DS ? Pete Cowen said that it is nécessary to slow down the club in the DS What do you think ?

  4. definitely this is my problem- more so with my irons, not fairway woods. Need to work on it. Thanks Danny and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. Not sure you celebrate in the UK.

  5. I tried the Sean Foley method…too many spots on this Leopard to change. Too much associated pain. Shudda never left you Danny.

  6. Danny, after talking about tightening the screws so your right upper arm stays connected in the backswing, your actual (iron and highbrid) backswing shows it separating from your torso. Is it actually just a feeling or should your right upper arm be fully connected in the backswing and through impact like your message today seems to be about? I find if it actually remains connected you get a very narrow backswing and the downswing is limited by how fast your hips can spin and consequently is not very powerful. Confused sorry!

  7. Hi Danny, This is a lesson I need to revisit regularly. I'll be playing tomorrow and will have it replying in my mind. Have a good weekend

  8. When I try to keep my trail elbow inside, I occasionally BLOCK the shot out to the right (path in to out, but face open)

At 11:00 in your video (“Look at this … “)
your clubface is wide open! 😳

How do I square the clubface at impact with this emphasis on the trail arm? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Rather than focusing on ONLY the trail arm, I’ve been trying to keep both elbows more together with great results.

  9. For me Danny, one of your very best instructions on You Tube ever.
It’s a brilliant technique to connect the arms and body together in the backswing. The through swing becomes so natural and connected. I have just tried it and the shots are straight and where I am aiming👍
I will be passing this video on !

  10. Great video. I have been thinking about the right arm for a couple of years, how it should help the overall swing. The notion of keeping the upper portion attached (like Hogan) makes sense – but seems to conflict with modern day descriptions of extension on the takeaway. Thanks for giving me permission to screw it down …. I will try this. Many thanks.

  11. Hi Danny, really enjoy you're weekly videos. Are you watching me? I can't tell you the number of times I have had a problem on the course (irons, driver) and your weekly tip arrives addressing the problem I have just had. Well done! Hello from Canada.

  12. Damn it Danny, Why didnt you tell me this 20 years ago? Literally I was messing around in the back yard ( you call it garden) doing exactly that. Pinning the right bicep and hit amazing wedge shots. I thought it was a fluke… Just another example why you are the #1 teacher on YT.

  13. This is so clear and so well explained. Applying intention and attention to my set up is what has made the most difference for me from these superb lessons. Thanks Danny.
