Met John Daly in Columbia,Tn and a Loves fuel stop. I (truck driver) saw him at the fuel pump with his tour bus, went up and asked his driver if I could get a picture with him. Prayed that he wouldn’t be one of those nightmare types of celebrities that we’ve heard about. And my prayers were answered. Hands down, he is the coolest guy you could ever meet! We talked for a few minutes and snapped a pic! Awesome dude! First celebrity I’ve ever met and wish him the best! Couldn’t say enough great things about him. 10/10 guy.

I was 9 years old when I went to go watch the Canadian Open. My dad was a huge John Daly fan, so we waited for him at the 4th tee box, Royal Montreals longest par 4. JD asks us to come behind the ropes, a pretty cool experience for my father and I. He then proceeds to ask me to hold his lit cigar while he’s teeing off! My dad wasn’t happy about that and his caddy held it instead.

Why do y’all glorify this guy? He wasted God given talent, been divorced multiple times, has a drinking problem, can barely walk and is horrendously out of shape. If he’s the GOAT why aren’t you modeling your life after him? Go on, divorce your wife, live in a RV and smoke and drink all day-true happiness will definitely follow!
