Do not hit down on your irons may seem like strange advice, but trying to very often leads to poor impacts and even poorer shots, in this video i’ll show you a better option that will have you striking your irons better than ever.
Great players rarely, if ever, try to hit down on their iron shots, the ideal impact is actually a result of some other key moves that proceed it that i will teach you in this video.
As always i’d love to hear your thoughts so please drop me a comment and ill get back to you

Wow. Just the opposite of what I'm doing. Great explanation. Thanks
Never seen this explanation before , thanks Chris, off to the range!
Best iron downswing video I’ve watched
Well done Chris 👏 😊
This was explained snd better still demonstrated so clearly !
Really enjoying your vids, great explanation and demos. Thanks ⛳️👍
Chris, what about us who have knackered backs and don’t have that rotational movement? I have been watching Pete Cowan and his spin the arm down. I guess that is working on the same principles? Great content as usual 👍
If I do this I will probably pull the grip up too much and end up topping the ball
Interesting, different take for sure. A simple L to L drill kind of gives you the same feel?
Would you use this same technique with your driver?
