Peter Malnati holes out for CRAZY double bogey at Black Desert

In the opening round of the 2024 Black Desert Championship, after hitting two balls into the native area, Peter Malnati holes out from 177 yards to make a double bogey at the par-4 4th hole.

The PGA TOUR is returning to Utah for the first time since 1963 as the Black Desert Resort Golf Course hosts the inaugural Black Desert Championship. Chris Kirk will be teeing it up in Utah this week and is the highest-ranked player in the field after winning The Sentry in January and claiming five top-20s worldwide across the regular season, his latest being T9 at the BMW Championship at the end of August. Erik Van Rooyen will also be in the field this week. He’s claimed four top-10s on the PGA TOUR this season including T2 at the Cognizant Classic, T4 at Myrtle Beach and T6 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He also finished T12 in his last start at the Irish Open on the DP World Tour. Lucas Glover will also like his chances in Utah. He’s managed five top-20s on the PGA TOUR this year, including T13 at the Procore Championship two weeks ago and T3 at Sanderson Farms last week. He’ll be aiming for his seventh win on TOUR this week. Others to look out are Keith Mitchell, Ryan Fox and Nick Taylor.
