Always worth a watch when Fred’s on!
As an almost 70 years old playing of single digits golfer i replaced my 2- 3-4-5-6-7 irons with hybrids and woods, beginning of spring, best decision i made. Oh, Freddy swing is so beautiful, pure, fantastic tempo.
I might have to add some hybrids to my bag after watching this!

What I dig about Couples is with all the tech out there (track man, etc) he still is old school! What he sees & what he feels. Been fortunate enough to see him on the range..creative machine.
Just did the same. I can hit my long irons but getting older losing speed added 7w a 26 degree hybrid and 7 iron down with driver and mini driver as 3w/fairway finder. That 26 degree hybrid is a gamw changer. Golf is hard why make it harder oh ya ego lol

age 47 using players distance long irons. super lightweight compared to the standard model. the technology is so good
also using lightest weight shafts on my long clubs with an autoflex on my driver
I’m 36 years old and I’m about to do exactly what Fred is doing. I’m tired of making the game hard for myself. Rescue clubs are 100x easier to hit. Having irons 7 iron and down is a smart move.

Freddie still has the silky smooth effortless swing despite probably 30+ years with back issues.
I love my 4h lofted at 23 degrees, sadly I can only hit it with a 185-190 yard carry despite being 5 years younger than Fred and no back issues. I have tried a 26h/5h and it just launches so high, way higher than I am comfortable with, but that is probably my technique
Who is the big guy in blue and what the heck are they saying? I hear them both speaking English, but sounds like they're talking in code, especially since the big guy speaks in fragmented words…

I'm 70, and I've gone to a set of hybrids myself. Driver, 5-wood, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 hybrids, 8 and 9 irons, PW, SW, and chipper. Best thing I ever did as far as golf is concerned.
