  1. Hi from Oz, This is absolutely the foundation upon which all else is built. It seems too simple and yet, it is. Thanks.

  2. You are so right Todd – this is what the golf swing is all about. I am a member of the Malaska Golf which fully endorse what you are saying…

  3. Todd- love your theory – has improved by play tremendously- need to be more consistent on holding my back to the target – keep the info coming- thank you

  4. New sub here and l am glad your channel popped up so l can watch this instruction because almost everything out there is the new fancy swing that my body would conform to lol. A question, with this swing theory the arm must be allowed to roll with the swing? When l allow my arm to roll with the swing l have this snap at the ball with a sound that is distinctive of a great strike golf ball. This also allow me to post up to a finish when l allow my arms to roll with the swing but the other fancy swings l have a hard time posting up at the end of the swing and l feel a swing through the ball rather than a hit. Thank you.

  5. Hey Todd-you, Mike M and Andrew Emery have done a wonderful job explaining how levering the club, using angular momentum and creating motion and speed with the hands and arms are the foundation of the golf swing. The one component of the swing that was lost on me is the concept of the spiral nature of the swing and how it expands. You mention in this video that you must feel like you are "pushing away" when swinging, but none of you (imho) explain it sufficiently for us dumbasses that need to be hit over the head before we get it. When you understand this reaching concept, there is no early extension, stalling or flipping, just blissful release through the ball. I feel like I wasted 53 years of my golfing life not understanding this concept. Here is a video by Dan Martin where he explains this concept in great detail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RArqxrslGjk. Now the teaching of Ernest Jones makes sense and lets the golfer leverage the club, with the correct arm and hand action, without trying to use leverage. Unless this spiral/expansion component of the swing is fully understood, no golfer will ever reach their true potential.

  6. While I think this is good it isn't anything new. I'm 78 years old and was taught this many, many years ago. I don't think leaving it up would be cheating your members.
