Man one time playing in a tournament. 2 man best ball we get to the last green as the last group and it has a longest putt made marker about 10 feet out. My playing partner and I are like as far as possible away and still on the green downhill putt with like 5 or 6 different breaks. My buddy putts first after saying well he goes nothing. It goes over hill and dale the rolls within inches of the cup. I was like you have got to be kidding me how did you do that? He just shrugged and said hit it that way but a little bit harder. So I’m like sure, it’s rolls over hill and dale just like his but has enough to roll in the hole. Made like a 60 foot pure miracle and didn’t even get to move the marker since we were the last group. I would have loved people to have seen that marker all day like you have got to be kidding me. I also tied for longest drive that day but I used a 3 wood because at the time it was better than my driver. So the other guy I tied got all butt hurt and said it doesn’t count as longest drive since I didn’t use driver. I was like whatever it’s not like I need the golf towel reward anyway.
This was mine on a short par 3 just last Sunday. Closest I’ve ever come.

Story time! Played in a Sunday group of about 20 guys where closest to the pin mark their ball with a tee. Well someone hits it to about 3 inches and sure enough a buddy of mine knocks one in to about an inch and doesn’t go in. Unless to say first guy was not having any of I got it closer but didn’t hole it out. Words were exchanged and they were not beat friends after. Nice shot BTw.
