Silverado Resort and Spa Golf Course (South) | 18-Hole Golf Vlog and Review

In this video, I play 18 holes in the wine country as I enjoy one of the best courses I didn’t have on my bucket list, but I am glad I played! Despite lacking in length, the south course offers more quirk and personality than the course the PGA Tour pros play, the North course. Don’t just overlook it, because it is a tour venue, as I feel it might be the more interesting of the two courses from a design standpoint.

Essentially if you can play this Silverado course and you’re an average golfer, who can be alright about not playing a professional golf course, I’d advise you to check out Silverado South, as it is one of my new favorite golf courses in Northern California.

You have to be a member, stay at the resort, or find a tournament to get on the course as it is not a daily fee course. The resort is very nice, as well as quiet and peaceful. I found it very refreshing and brought me the peace of mind I needed from my work life.

Add to the fact that Napa is home to many great wineries like the
Del Dotto Estate Winery And Caves, and Sattui Winery St., as well as restaurants like The French Laundry, Bouchon, and The Charter Oak (a must if you want to go out to a good meal).

Silverado South Course is less visible to resort guests as it is on the other side of the Silverado mansion, and runs along the community of houses nestled in the napa hills. Don’t be surprised to see members out walking on the course as it appears to be a course that many in the community have a deep connection with.

Don’t forget to get a Burgerdog when you turn the corner after the ninth hole as it is one of the best golf meals in the world.

My favorite holes are as follows
Hole 6 – A great downhill par-4 that takes the driver out of your hand and has a creek to hit over plus an uphill green.
Hole 8 – A long par-4 in which the more risk you take on going right shortens the hole but runs the risk of going into the houses.
Hole 11 – A par-5th that looks straight of you Bay Hill Golf Club with water down the left and houses to the right.
Hole 13 – A par-5 that requires three straight shots and hitting over water to a very big green.
Hole 17 – A par-3 I hit it close on

  1. I'm really surprised at all of the houses surrounding the course. Who cares what your swing looks like? You snagged pars and birdies. You say the course is short, but 6200 yards from the white is long for an old guy like me.

  2. you are a really good player. who cares if the swing doesnt look like a PGA pro if youre shooting 78s and scored 3 birdies! keep slaying!

  3. Lukie you're so funny, thanks for showing me literally all of the courses near the Bay Area that I am about to play. Also like these guys said you're a pretty good golfer!
