  1. I made a similar thing with Miura TC201. Just ordered heads only from Aliexpress and shafted them with real Nippon shafts, great spare set to have

  2. I'm not up for these fake irons. I'd much rather buy decent price DTC irons or just decent used irons. I've picked up a used 5-PW set of 0311 P Gen 4 irons for £370.00 and they are just magic. I'll stick to used as 1 man's trash is another man's treasure 🙂

  3. Not for me. DTC brands certainly yes. By the time you faf around with buying shafts for the fakes you can buy decent DTC clubs.

  4. I’m betting with good shafts they won’t perform that far off from the real irons. Off center strikes may suffer a bit more. Tho they are probably a good deal please people never by counterfeit products.

  5. If you had fake TaylorMade irons and went to trade them in for another set of irons would Golf Clubs for Cash notice they were fake irons?

  6. Swing looks good 👍. 5 mph more and you'll make the British Open 😉. When you make temp clubs look good you're doing something right. Been watching 👀 you for years I know your swing. Looking Good.

  7. I bought a fake Ventus Shaft for $30 that outperformed the stock shaft in my driver and it's still in there. No idea what shaft it really is, but it's not a bad shaft apparently. 🤣

  8. I'd buy DTC and never fakes. Lofts, lies, weights and shafts will never be right. Also I guarantee the finish and grooves wont last a month. Great video James, keep them coming brother.

  9. The problem with fakes is the person who buys it originally from Temu is fully aware of what they’re buying, but then after a while that fake is going to get sold on Facebook or eBay as the genuine product to some poor sod. Imagine paying £500 or so for what you think is a genuine set of p790s, you play them for six months or so with no success, so decide to trade them in only to be told they’re fake!

  10. I like others am uncomfortable with this, but i guess it’s informative. I spoke with an ex Ryder Cup captain that had just returned from a major manufacturers plant in China, same plant made various manufactuer heads. He said it was obvious that ghost shifts were in operation, and after delving found they used substandard materials to build identikit clubs, he was convinced they would return manufacturing back to the US. In respect of the cost of clubs, one day they are expensive, the next day you advocate buying a black set of irons for £2000, i agree paying for clubs comes down to your personal situation. Folk like me that like shiny new clubs, flood the used market for those on a budget or that think folk like me are mad. I by the way, think people that drink or smoke are mad, but i don’t ram it down their throat, to each their own.

  11. Seems that golf irons are pretty much a solved problem. Yes, there's varieties like blades, cavity, and hollow but in each category it seems pretty straight forward to get similar results with similarly constructed clubs and lofts. Personally, I like supporting local distributors that give great service. PXG gives free loft and lie adjustment. 2nd swing gives great support on both new and used gear. PGA Super Store, etc. Definitely save with D2C but that can be achieved by buying 2nd hand.

  12. I once bought a used Scotty on eBay .after a magnet stuck to the putter head it was a fake.
After questioning the seller he said “ I was selling for a friend “
    😂😂

  13. how is it even possible to buy counterfeit chinese ripoffs and have them shipped into the country? There are plenty of options if you want a cost effective set to get going, get to Decathlon and buy some Inesis clubs or Costco for one of their packaged sets, at least they are their own brand and not trying to rip off someone elses hard work. It isn't even a discussion point, everything from these rip off sites should be 100% customs inspected and sent to the recycling center.

  14. For me the issue is big brands charging £1200/1300 for 4-pw.. when u get a real shaft in those irons and find the only real difference for an average player will be a bit harsher feel to them, average player distance control wont be the best anyways..
Certainly u ll find a big difference in driver n woods etc.. maybe nxt video do a fake driver with a good after in it..say with a 80 gram shaft too.

  15. I would instead buy clubs from a direct-to-consumer company like Golfworks or Takomo. I have priced many clubs on Temu and Aliexpress, and you don't save significantly when you factor in shipping. Moreover, you have nowhere to turn if something goes wrong with the club. With DTC clubs, you get excellent quality, customize your club with desired grips and shaft flex, and can call for help.

  16. First off, if you're buying new shafts to put on them, just how much are you really saving?

And if you're a golfer who's competing in events where you have to worry about whether or not your clubs are confirming, are you really going to buy ultracheap knock-offs off Temu? Seems to me that their "target audience" is weekend golfers who want to look like they're serious enough to buy big-brand clubs, maybe because they're tired of being razzed for playing with decade-old used clubs…

  17. Its not because its expensive. These items are faked because they are in demand and popular. The same with Rolex watches.

  18. I would not buy fake irons to show off as real ones. I would buy to have irons to play with that would actually work as good as the expensive ones.

  19. I purchased a set of fake garden spades from ACME a few days ago. The shafts and handle were terrible. I replaced them with quality KBS and Lampkin and you know what? I was impressed with the performance. Lets jump in the studio Rob and look at the numbers compared to the top brands.

  20. Was these from Temu or Ali express I don’t think Temu sell look alike irons only Ali express. ?

  21. Here lie the problem, are they fake. I know for definite that when a company that does R&D in there given country and then get it all to China to be made, the China market just takes the same R&D and makes the same items, maybe with slightly different materials, take the apple pods for example the fakes one work exactly the same as the real ones, sound quality is just as good and so on, just slight different materials.

Do we call coco pops from Lidl or it just made with different quality of products.

  22. Or are you to blame for buying clubs that you know are a rip off?
I don't see the point when you do these types of clubs because a normal person isn't going to buy them and re shaft them all golf clubs are tested the chances of these irons are slim and none. The grooves have to be the right shape and depth on irons and as tou said there is a list telling you if they conform. So none confirming clubs and using them in your club comp is cheating. Faking clubs is illegal and you shouldn't be promoting them or making contact out of them. Personally I'm shocked you don't get reported by the company (TM) for breaking their copyright.

  23. I'd think that once you bought them and replaced the shafts with decent ones, much of the savings would be gone. As others have said, I think it'd be better to go with a reputable DTC brand and know what you're getting.
