The DP World Tour heads to Spain this week for the acciona Open de España presented by Madrid hosted by Club de Camp de Madrid. Jon Rahm will be teeing it up in his home country this week as he aims to become the first four-time winner in the event’s 52-year history on the DP World Tour schedule. The Spaniard struggled over the first two Majors of the season finishing 45T at The Masters and 75T at the PGA Championship. But after missing the U.S Open to injury, he struck form and finished 7T at the Open Championship and 5T at The Olympics in Paris. He also has 10 victories over his time on the DP World Tour including three DP World Tour Championships. Tommy Fleetwood will also be in Madrid this week. He’s claimed six top-tens so far this season including T1 at the Dubai Invitational, 3T at The Masters and a second-place finish at the Olympics. He’ll be looking for his eighth DP World Tour win this week. Shane Lowry will fancy his chances in Spain. He’s managed eight top-tens this season including a win on the PGA TOUR with Rory McIlroy at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Others to look out for are Tyrrell Hatton, Victor Perez, Patrick Reed and Sepp Straka.

Welcome to the Official YouTube channel of the DP World Tour. 1. Jon Rahm played in this event despite not paying his outstanding fine for playing on LIV (a small fine given how much he earned for joining). He should not have been allowed to play in my opinion and it amazes me how the crowd still support him given that he wants to have his cake and eat it too. If Rahm had won it would have been a disgrace so thank god Hidalgo managed to get the win! LIV players should never be allowed to play on the PGA or DP world tour now or at any time in the future, thew knew the risks of joining LIV and were more than happy to accept the huge amounts of money. They are weak minded and weak willed, we as fans must not let them get away with it. Make sure you boo them whenever you get the chance and make sure they know they have no place in the historic game of golf. Saudi Arabia is a disgusting regime and state, we do not want their dogs playing with our proud players.

  2. Great victory, especially against Rham…Gran victoria especialmente en contra de Rham, uno de los mejores jugadores q han salido de espana. Desarrollado en USA and arizona pero salido de espana….congratulations.

  3. Loved the diss of Sergio Garcia by Hidalgo. He says Rahm is the most important Spanish player of the last 20-30 years, a period that otherwise has most prominently featured Sergio. Though Jose Maria Olazabal is also up there. Whether he meant it or not, by identifying Rahm and omitting Sergio, who's a cad, he threw shade on Garcia. Rightfully so.

I like Hidalgo's game. Hope he shows up on the PGA Tour, and imagine he may be in one or more majors next year by winning the Spanish Open.

Not a big fan of Rahm because of his hypocrisy and taking the blood money from the bone saw tour, but this was a great show today.
