Nike Golf once made some very interesting golf clubs but then ceased all manufacturing without any notice, surprising even their own professional players. So what happened, how did this come about, and why are these clubs still so interesting to so many people today?

How come Nike just feels cringe at this point? Definitely feels like it's not as cool anymore
Bro thinks it costs Nike $15 to make a polo
I once went to a try-out day at a local course where every company had their full complement of clubs and fitters. My standard line walking up to each was, "Let me try your most forgiving clubs."
Nike's game improvement clubs were unhittable for a novice golfer. Ping, Callaway, and Wilson were so much better.
super fire video hope this goes viral
vrpro blades were pure and also very easy to hit considering they were blades.
my irons are Nike only set ive ever bought/owned…. some VRS Forged i got for under $200…. i still play most of them, though i replaced the pitching wedge with a Mizuno MP32 and the sand wedge with a TM Hi Toe…
im not at all a Nike fan, im not a Tiger Woods fan either… i jsut bought them because they were reasonably priced and they felt good when i hit them., and i hit them better than others mostly…
id honestly rather own Callaway or TM or Ping and all my other clubs are a variety of those
theyre paying more like $2-4 per polo… not 20 lol
hell i can buy my own printed polos for like $7-8 buying them one at a time
as an ex-soccer and basketball player, I know that flashy really works for cleats and shoes in those sports, so I really liked the flashier look of nike clubs. however, my college soccer coach used to complain about how we all wore brightly colored cleats and "back in his day if you wore anything but black, you were gonna get a few hard tackles from the other team". Golf has a huge, older audience, and they tend to hate flashy xD great video, super interesting to hear all of the reasons of why they pulled out
Probably the worst timing to leave golf as well, you got so many golf influencers on YouTube and reviewers to review golf clubs now. Not too long ago it was just tv and rarely golf stuff on YouTube but now it’s at the peak of marketing and all types of golf brands are coming out. With all the big golf channels out now Nike would just have to create clubs and wouldn’t even have to put much into commercials anymore, YouTube’s doing all the free advertising. 😂👍🏽
Nike blade was a great club. Period. The fall of Nike golf is the roi being too low.
Nike should have responded back to Phil by saying "inferior equipment to battle inferior competition"
Do you have a spiderman suit in your wardrobe?
This is easily one of the best new golf channels, loving the content so far! And your narration is really good too
Great video! I have friends that still play Nike wedges that probably should have been replaced 10 years ago.
I have those blades. I learned the game with those clubs… I play vapor fly pros and hit them further than anyone I play with… BTW I’m a hack lol
Nike golf products were HORRIBLE. I could only hit their driver at a maximum of 200yards at the same time i could hit a Callaway at 260 yards.
I loved their first driver they produced. The forged 400cc driver is still one of my favorites. The Pro Combo irons were pretty good and pushed other manufacturers to start offering combo sets. Before that you had to go to a custom club builder to get a set like that.
You don't understand NIKE at all. They are a CHICOM company. They ruined many women track stars with there putrid guidance and coaching. They use slave labor. They use Marxist spokesmen to push their products. But the kneeler was an outright pig and they bankrolled him. I think also that Tiger knows and should be called out too.
Nice video young fella,well put together,good information,put across very well,ill subscribe..old Scots golfer 🏴⛳
I still have the VR Pro Combo irons in my bag. A beautiful looking and performing set.
Never understood if nike never wanted to make clubs but wanted to bring focus to their other merch, why not outsource the clubs? Probably woulda been cheaper and more profitable in the long run
