Casting help

How do I stop casting at the ball? My swing has gotten better but I can’t seem to avoid casting/early extension

looks like open clubface. open clubface is common issue for casting

  2. Your lead wrist is cupped, leading to an extremely open clubface. Your brain knows this so it throws the club down in attempt to close it for you, otherwise it would go 50 yards right.

Make a checklist as you setup to the ball. Ball position, feet, grip, and work on keeping your lead wrist flat in your takeaway. Start with 50% shots using a PW or AW, really focusing on pressing your trail wrist into the shot and not flipping. Don’t hit any other shots for a week until you’re compressing and puring at least 75% of your shots. Okay maybe not none, but focus heavily on this.

IMO of course, I’m no pro!
