I'm curious what wedge setup people are using. I have a G 49 degree, then 52, 56, 60. Lately I've kind of benched the 60 and utilize the 56 for almost anything 50 yards or so in, front the greenside bunkers, and around the green. Interesting topic wedges.
I cannot understand the mentality that 'demands' golfers who are playing social competition only, must conform to the same rules as the Pros and those playing PGA sanctioned/affiliated competitions. You dont do that when playing social baseball, tennis, darts or football in the park – why golf? The wife and I play social every week – we no longer play competition golf. Preferred lies (including in bunkers) – Mulligans (max 2 per 9) – 2 putts max when greens under repair – less than club length is auto gimme putt – no extra penalty shot when lose ball (that is enough penalty) just drop near point of entry and go – change ball whenever wanted (try another brand next shot and/or next hole). When playing social golf why be penalised because some ahole did not replace divot or left footprints in the bunker? We play a few Pro-ams now and then (both have hcps) – and only then do we play by the official rules. Amazes me some people trying to play golf shots out of a hole on a social golf course – and all the other silly things they do.
I bought a Cleveland 56 recently and the bounce has two surfaces. I'm not sure why, and I don't like it because i blade a lot of shots with it.
You did much better with your PXG wedges during the fitting
