Affordable Golf Simulator Under $500!
There are no paid advertisements or sponsors included in this video. These are my own opinions.
A golf simulator can help you practice your swing and stay tuned in during winter months. Perhaps an affordable sim may work for you. It may not have the specific accuracy or extra data that expensive systems provide, but many of us just need the basics to improve our golf swing, while also having some fun.
I am a bit of a data geek, so I also use a SwingCaddie SC300 launch monitor for additional swing data (was $500 on Amazon).
I’ve been using the Optishot (now Optishot2) for over 12 years. Check it out and improve your game.

What are the distance results like on this simulator compared to playing I real games and also compared to local simulator businesses if you’ve been to them?
I started with the optishot. If you are limited on room, this thing is awesome and definitely the way to go, I used with wiffle balls. As far as the driver goes, i took an old one and painted it white. Worked great. I have upgraded to an R10 with a full cage. You definitely need some room for full swings with real balls. Everyone shanks a shot here and there. The R10 is great but i still plug in the optishot from time to time. Its still fun. You will see improvement using either.
