Legendary Golfer Ian Poulter joins Rosanna Lockwood for an exclusive interview discussing his decision to join the LIV golf league, his hopes for re-formatting for the golf rankings to include LIV, Golf being a ‘lonely job’ and his son following in his footsteps as he pursues a career in golfing.
Ian is honest about some of the difficulties being a professional golfer and spending most of the year away from home competing in tournaments such as LIV golf, including missing things like his children’s birthdays and school plays. He credits his wife for raising the children and believes she is a main reason he can continue to thrive in the sport.
Ian also discusses his love for the LIV golf league structure, describing the set up as ‘refreshing’. He does however wish that ‘common sense kicks in’ to allow for LIV competitors to be able to compete in PGA tournaments, as he feels locking out some of the top golfers in the world is bad for the sport.
