How To Hit Your Irons Better In Golf

I made this video because I’ve recently seen a few coaches online talking about scooping under the back of the ball to hit your irons in the air. NO! In order to hit your irons higher in the air, you need more compression of the golf ball. This meaning hitting down on the ball with a negative angle of attack. For people that struggle with this, I encourage the initial thought of slapping down on the back of the golf ball. This helps develop a feel for hitting down on the back of the ball and allowing the loft of the club to produce ball height. If you try to scoop under the ball, you are only offering the blade of the club to the ball which increases your risk for thinned shots and fat shots. Start slapping down on that golf ball to feel what compression can do for your golf game.
