This was never an ideal fit. Fore Play has built a stand alone business slightly outside of the Barstool world, but leveraged the parent company when convenient and beneficial to their success. Fans that were more golf centric (rather than the traditional base) were additive to the Barstool audience. But as Fore Play moved more into the traditional golf world with news and live events, it moved away from the entertainment side of what the rest of the company focused on. With Prez taking back the reins of the company, Barstool is going to stay the course and operate in the same way that has made it successful historically.
Dan had a good run learning and experiencing a world that he had never worked in, and the three other Fore Play guys were exposed to a different segment of the online golf ecosystem (better on course golf, collaborations with other YT golf "influencers", PGA/LIV tours, etc…). I think both sides, Dan & Barstool, will be fine going forward. They both want to concentrate at what they like and what they feel their strengths are. There is no reason to take shots. Best of luck to everyone. No harm, no foul.

Im a Foreplay guy, have zero taste for "Barstool", thats not a dig, I just enjoy the golf content. I think thats an important distinction to be made. Not all your fans want to see the channel devolve into Barstool antics.

Dan doesn’t think Barstool is a legit serious company without Erica (or someone else other than Dave in charge).. and for everyone acting like he’s the best thing since sliced bread…… ima square and listening and watching this guy do stuff even makes me think the dude is a Square. Nothing wrong with that but he’s grew up too rich and too left to kinda vibe with anyone at barstool imo. He’s like afraid to say certain things because of who he is on tour and to other people. And he doesn’t like how most people at barstool talk. It’s pretty simple. He doesn’t want to be involved with the same company like big cat constantly making pretty disturbing jokes all the time.. even though they’re clearly jokes but Dan can’t handle it he never could it was obvious from the start
