  1. Its a component type 500 dollars for heads, then 200 more for shafts. Total 700 dollars.. might be taxed on delivery but probably not.. £650 sterling for takomos 301..

  2. I'm off 5 and still use TaylorMade R9 irons. I'm in the market for new irons but $500 is still too much for my budget. Is that $500 US Dollars?

  3. I'm a HUGE fan of Japanese irons, so much so I wont consider US irons with the exception of PXG …..

  4. I understand these sets are a great price BUT why not get a second hand set of Mizunos for the same price. I set a max price of $500 on eBay and the iron sets you can get are stunning. Good condition as well

  5. “Budget golf clubs are gonna take over the world in 2025”. Very interesting conclusions by James. I just bought a new set of Ping i525 a couple of years ago. But the more I watch these videos, the more intrigued I become. Thank you for letting us know about these clubs! 👍. But I agree with a gentleman above… There needs to be more left-handed availability!! 😂. Ping still has them in that regards. Every single product they make is offered in left and right hand. Not even the other big brands can say that. 🤷‍♂️

  6. Just finished ordering a full set of 201 irons from Takomo, 2 Skyforger wedges, and a 101U driving iron. I priced out comparable OEM clubs and saved over $1200 (CDN). That’s a lot left over for lessons or green fees.

  7. Love the idea but not sure which ones to get. Have a set of zx5 Mk1's that need an upgrade. Have hit the new zx7's and loved them. What's the closest to these? 201's look a bit chunky in the pictures or are they similar to the zx5?

  8. I've been playing the 301 split set from Takomo since a month after their release… Indeed, they're soft but not "hot butter soft", they have a "soft but solid" feel, a certain firmness to them, which I love. My old Endo forged Bridgestone felt softer, but less "precise".
On a side note, the loft isn't the same on the Toura split cavity and the Takomo 301. For example the 7 irons come at 32° in the Toura model v. 34° in the Takomo, so it's not surprising that the Toura goes that little bit further (2° should equate to 5 or 6 yards on perfectly identical strikes if the COR is the same).

  9. I paid $589 for the Takomo 101t set. I've been playing them for 2 months, my handicap went from 10 to 7.5 and I couldn't be happier. I didn't think it was possible to improve that much just by getting a new set of clubs. I was using 2006 Nike CPR2s for the last 15 years.
