Testing the PXG Allen Putter In The Revealer Against L.A.B.

L.A.B. Golf CEO Sam Hahn tests the PXG Allen putter in The Revealer to explain how The Revealer works and how it identifies torque.

He also talks through the L.A.B. Golf Lie Angle Balancing process to explain how it’s different than the mass-produced putter building process used by the largest golf equipment manufacturers.

  1. I knew this was the case the second it came out. This is why i doubted Lab putters at first. I owned the Axis1 Joey putter and I pulled putts all the time. It’s because it closes hard at impact in the revealer. If you are going to make a Zero Torque putter, the shaft MUST be center shafted. You can’t have it all bendy or a weird shaped hosel, otherwise it will close hard at impact. Lab is the only company that makes Lie Angle Balance putters.

  2. Can’t remember the last time I swung a putter that way (fast). I wonder what it would look like with a smooth putter stroke.

  3. Excellent video. I’ll be sticking with my DF2. Using it I average 29 putts per round. Wouldn’t be without it.

  4. Its disappointing but I think in the long run zero torque putters are the future- be interesting to see what the big boys do (Odyssey, Scotty, Ping especially)

  5. I switched from a spider GT to a DF3.
GT had a lovely roll but the DF3 was better, my putting has improved. My friends have noticed im sinkimg a lot more 4 to 20 footrrs ❤

  6. All of this seems like marketing gimmick. I'll admit to not having tried a LAB putter but I don't see how this test tells us anything

  7. You guys make the most gimmicky ugly putters know to the history of golf. People literally have to change their putting stroke to the way your putter behaves instead of the putter being fitted to their stroke. Hence the reason for so many neck types.

So hey guys the pxg putter won’t work in my gimmicky tool. Pxg, hold my beer. The lab putter won’t work in our gimmicky tool.

    lol lol lol lol lol

Ya’ll trying to damn hard to sell 600 dollar putters to the general public and amateur golfers.

These putter sound bad and feel like trash.

  8. Awesome comparison. My custom fit DF3 is by far the best putter I’ve ever used in over 30 years of golfing. It’s all about the lie angle. When a LAB is custom fit for your lie angle you can FEEL and know there is no twisting needed to get the face square to the target line. I haven’t rolled a pxg Allen but based on this video it’s clear to me the Allen has torque. I’m happy with my DF3 and this one will be in my bag forever

  9. Wow! Great finding, I was about to purchase one Allan putter in Europe. Thanks for the information.
It would be great if for European Customers you could make purchasing a LAB putter an easy and reasonable experience. This way we would not be forced to choose either PXG or EVNROLL to buy a zero torque putter. Cheers.

  10. I initially said I’d never use something as ugly however one fitting later, I’ve just taken delivery of a counterbalanced DF3 from Scottsdale in UK and although sceptical at first, in my first two rounds I didn’t three putt and holed out consistently from 5ft and in… hopefully my goal of hitting scratch by my 50th birthday is back on (for reference it’s my 49th today and my index is 1.8).. seriously think the LAB is here to stay.. 💥💥💥

  11. just the fact that PXG is trying to copy LAB, tells you everything you need to know. LAB is onto something!

  12. I have watched this guy quite a bit…He is real. He invented a better putter for all of golf and wants to share it with everybody. If you had a cure for cancer wouldn't you have to tell everyone? (well unless you are big Pharma)

  13. Great putter, as is the PXG Allen. Two different technologies that achieve similar results. Lab is more CG balanced, as you can see that he adjusts it when it does not face the target when spun in the revealer. PXG Allen will always face the target because it used a different technology. Both great putters that we all can benefit from some just look better than others.

  14. Is there no way to make the head of these type of putters smaller? Personally, I find the heads are so big and somewhat distracting. I use an old Odyssey P9 and that’s as big as I can tolerate.
