Like the title of the post says… my wife and I started golfing together about 2 and a half years ago. I’ve worked hard to get to about a bogey golfer level. She’s been consistently shooting high 90s low 100s. Enough to have a good time on a course without getting too stressed out. Today she texts me while I was busy at work telling me she got an ACE and her and her three golf friends are now out celebrating.. anyways.. just wanted to share with someone ⛳️ cheers!

Sorry doesn’t count if the greens were aerated. You know only good putts miss on aerated greens so it stands to reason that your wife’s ball was offline and only went in the hole because of the aerification.

Welcome to the husband’s with wives who have hit a hole in one club….
It’s hard at first, and signing that scorecard for eye witnesses proof is the hardest. It gets better, and you will heal.
But just for preparation, every time the word golf comes up in friends or family conversation, you’re going to have to acknowledge that the hole in one happened.
I don’t know if you and your wife are competitive golfers like we are, but we trash talk each other every hole. Get ready for her to say something along the lines of, “Raise your hand if you have ever hit a witnessed hole in one…. ohh that’s right, just me…”
That’s why you don’t play with your wife. Just fyi…

My wife started playing 2021. Got a hole in one in 2023, driver from 137 on a tough par 3 on our home course. I’ve always played that hole safe and settled for bogey. Now I aim at the GD pin every time I play it.
