MORE SPEED – less effort

Every golfer wants to hit the ball further especially with less effort.

In this video I share a drill which helped one of students increase her speed by 10% with 40% less rotation in the follow through.

  1. Great video Nick and congrats Tessa on breaking 90!

Is feeling like you are pulling your arms down at the beginning of the downswing appropriate? Rob Cheney recently put out a video describing that very thing, but it's in relation to starting a downswing sequence. However, it does have the effect of preventing the upper torso from rotating too fast. which seems to jibe with the drill you present here. The confusion for me is there are a bunch of videos out there warning golfers not to pull their arms down.

  2. Hi, Nick great video! What is the feeling you should to swing your arms fast? Are you feeling like you are flipping your wrists down? Thank you

  3. great job on coaching Tessa !!!…….I always enjoy watching your golf videos and can usually pick up a few tips….as someone who wants a bit more club head speed, I am going to work on this one……. thanks Nick

  4. Way to go Tessa!!!
It looks to me very Tommy Fleetwood-esque. I’d be tempted to just play with the drill if I’m only losing a couple of yards of carry
