  1. Been down to Bandon 7-8 times now. Absolutely no doubt that it’s one of the top golf resorts in the world. Bandon is a fantastic course. Trails and Pacific are phenomenal. 7 total courses now…actually 8, counting Charlotte’s.

  2. stlouisraiders

Very much bucket list worthy. If you’re making the trip pacific dunes is also a must.

Since there are a few people that have been there, what’s the deal with the weather? Seems like everything I read hints that it’s rainy and cold there more often than not.

It’s an amazing resort! I play it one every couple of years.

I’m here in Oregon for work. I drove over to Pacific City and down to Newport last week just to see it. There was a thick marine layer all day, but this is well north of Bandon. The temperature was in the high 60’s but felt nice in a long sleeve shirt. Too bad I won’t get to play any golf while I’m here.

Undoubtedly. Pac Dunes, Trails, Bandon, Old Mac, Sheep in that order (for me).

  7. Dont_Ban_Me_Bros

The entire experience is Bucket List. Do it if you can!!

    Short answer: yes.

    Long answer: yyyyeeeesssssss.

absolutely worth it – about as close as you will get to true links golf in the states ( whistling is better “links” imo but not going to argue). wind, marine layer, firm bouncy conditions you can play the ball on the ground. amenities and service are first class but understated. gorgeous views. incredible collection of holes. very few people can agree on ranking them.

  10. CarGuyBuddy

Heading there next summer. Parents still live in Oregon

  11. willpeoples

The best golf resort without a doubt.

  12. burywmore

If you go, there’s a picture of me in the clubhouse. It’s of a guy in a red sweater talking to his caddy on a green looking over the ocean. Enjoy the view. You’re welcome.

  13. RandomDudeYouKnow

Been twice, the last time a few months ago when there were some issues with greens. Resoundingly the answer is yes.

  14. spankysladder73

Sounds like you can get pooped on

  15. Proper-Air-9956

Bandon resort is top notch. The courses were great but the hospitality was absolutely incredible. Food was blah / bland. If you go, get the protein balls

  16. MarionberryHot2528

Yes. All 5 should be on every golfers bucket list

  17. Later_Doober

Yes this place is.  I went there a few months ago and it is the best place for golf.

  18. Yes, it’s been a few years but definitely need to go back.

  19. djblackout

Yes. It’s golf heaven. Old Mac is my top, but Sheep is a close second. Stay for 4 days minimum and try to get 36 in a day. Walking only so have a massage booked for when you get home.

  20. Went the end of April, got lucky on the weather. First day Bandon Trails in a light drizzle.
Second day Sheep Ranch no rain but 40+ mph wind gust sucked but was fun as hell if you’re not upset with a high score. Third day Short par 3 ( awesome) in the AM, B. Dunes in the afternoon, windy as well no rain. Last day Pac Dunes beautiful wish I had worn shorts! The punch bowl is a must drinks served to you while putting. Didn’t have time for Old MacDonald. Definitely a must trip!!

It’s the single greatest place on earth for golf.  You don’t have to drive anywhere six courses.  Lodges amazing caddies awesome.  Trails was my favorite.  But everyone has a different one that’s their favorite    It’s flat out awesome

  22. Micro-7903

    Yep-
Great experience. Read the book “Dream Golf” by the owner/developer Kaiser. Makes you more Appreciative of the courses

  23. tomeornotome

Can I get the source on this? Looks awesome

  24. PGA_Instructor_Bryan

The Keizers deserve to be the wealthiest family on earth for what they are doing to/with golf. Truly incredible the way they have grasped and delivered what makes a golf experience valuable.

Bandon and sand Valley are already exquisite.

Rodeo Dunes in denver, Wild Springs in Texas both on the way and likely to be just as amazing.

Plenty of golf resorts are cool but none move the needle like their properties do.

  25. ohnothem00ps

lol of course Bandon Dunes is a “bucket list worthy” course…what kind of question is this?

  26. greebytime

Bandon Dunes is the very best. The five 18 hole courses are all ranked in the top 100 public courses. And that’s all fair ranking. If you can get out there, DO IT. I’m going back in February for my 4th trip.

  27. ParReza

Absolutely yes, Trails is the best followed by Pacific Dunes.
