Jimmy Nesbitt Delivers Trophy to one of World’s Best Golf Courses

Jimmy Nesbitt Delivers Trophy to one of World’s Best Golf Courses

Local hero Jimmy Nesbitt, with some help from members of the public, had the task of delivering the Amgen Irish Open trophy from last year’s venue The K Club to Royal County Down.

Ireland is known for its glorious landscapes, rich history, welcoming atmosphere and unwavering sense of community spirit. Ahead of this year’s Amgen Irish Open, we put that to the test.

Relying on the goodwill of the people of Ireland, we tasked Jimmy Nesbitt and members of the local community with transporting the trophy from last year’s venue, The K Club, to Royal County Down.

Highlighting the different communities, characters and personalities involved, each character was tasked with helping Jimmy by taking the trophy as far as they could before handing it over; working together to deliver the trophy ahead of the 2024 Amgen Irish Open.

  1. first saw County Down on TV when the Irish Open was last held there, mesmerized by it, and went to County Down in 2017. Very excited about this weekend, putting on my calendar months ago. Hoping to finish Ulysses and visit Ireland again!

  2. Played RCD enough times to know it's not a fair course.

Seen Gary player become very angry over course at senior open, and better still I witnessed a certain T woods play a round at it and easily scoring into high 80's low 90's due to loosing balls of the tee..

Course has beautiful scenery and surroundings, but no way would I place it in top 100 of world at all. There is much better links courses in Ireland north and south…

My view is from playing as a professional….
