Kirk is play action QB, this is not his offense. This is offense built for Penix. They are setting Kirk to fail.
The Falcons will go 0-3 then things will change.
What Simms is talking about is just mental and it being his first game back
Simms is acting like Kirk has to be mobile QB in this offense. That’s on Atlanta and the QB they have. U don’t put Kirk in his strength he’ll never be comfortable because he’s not that QB. U have to get Kirk drop back to have him strengthen his drop back u don’t he’ll never slowly get back his normal drop back
The Falcons goal is to showcase Cousins, they will not hesitate, or derail going to the playoffs, win some games, and bring him back next year. But until that becomes obvious, they just want some big games out of him, if Tampa and or NO are clearly going to win the division, they will trade him at the deadline to anyone who does not make them pick up part of the contract. They will trade him in the offseason who will save them some money, with a new QB and not a lot of high paid stars the cap hit is not a big deal.
