  1. The EK trade is fine IMO most of the team was out of sync last year, what was given up was was no loss, I see a better year ahead.

  2. Sharks won that trade by a mile, getting a 1st round pick that was flipped to get higher in the draft and select Sam Dickinson was crazy. Lets also not forget the sharks only had to retain 1.5M of EKs contract.

  3. only thing i will say is i am glad the Habs stayed clear of these 2 players. Laine may end up being a problem {I doubt it} but at least his contract is only 2 yrs. rolling the dice on 8 years, that is a rarity that almost never ends up looking good. just ask the islanders, the dipietro contract screwed then for a very long time.

  4. Habs// Gorton & Hughes have FINALLY ! ditched that Francophone bizness… perhaps the Drouin flop turned that around…so happy they didn t bite on PLD ! That said… we "ll see how the Lainey re-Hab (( ha! )) goes! Will be interesting to compare PLD and Laineys seasons performance!

  5. EK65 sucks. Mike Matheson: 82GP/11G/51A/62Pts, EK65: 82GP/11G/45A/56Pts, Letang: 82GP/10G/41A/51Pts.
EK65 isn't in the top 10 in goals, assists, or points. He kind of reminds me of the offensive excellence of Mikael Granlund in San Jose. Mikael Granlund: 69GP/12G/48A/60Pts. Crosby: 52A, Granlund: 48A, EK65: 45A, Letang: 41A, Malkin: 40 assists. That's right Granlund playmakes on the same level as "THE CORE" in San Jose. EK65's Sharks numbers are clearly a fraud like Granlunds. Yep Granlund 69GP/60Pts vs Malkin 82GP/67Pts. Quinn Hughes: 92pts/EK65: 56Pts, Roman Josi: 23G/EK65: 11G, Quinn Hughes 75A/EK65:45A. The previous year EK65 led the league in Goals, Assists, & Pts. EK65: 25G/76A/101Pts. So no, EK65 the San Jose "Mikael Granlund" mirage can't be fixed.

  6. The penguins were already "all in" for the next couple of seasons with Crosby/Malkin/Letang. Throwing Erik Karlsson into the mix is/was just a good move. It does not matter if the team will be bad 5 years from now, that will only help their projected rebuild by getting them more high draft picks, so giving up draft picks in the short term to get Karlsson was more acceptable for Penguins than it would have been for other teams, so I don't mind that trade at all even in hind sight. If you look at Karlsson's stats from last season with the Penguins it's not very impressive (by Karlsson standards), but on team Sweden in the 2024 world championships, Karlsson looked like a superstar again, so I wouldn't be so quick to write him off as a "has been". I'm more inclined to believe the Penguins didn't use him correctly this past season. The Penguins have a lot things they need to fix this season and a lot of that has to do with coaching, but at least the end of last season looked a lot better, so there's still some hope.

  7. the reason they have hockey under sports could be contracts and/or lack of it with NHL and not the size of the markets of the sport. theroyizing here have no proof just an theori

  8. so dubas doesn't do enough to make pitt a contender & help sid win again but he trades for karlsson & it's a mistake, you literally can't win with these people lol
pitt regrets nothing, the dumped a bunch of bums for a norris trophy winning 1st ballot hall of famer, keep crying 😂
