  1. With the Dodgers' crap training staff, yes, even Jesus would develop tendonitis. Need new trainers as the current ones have not been able to keep the talent healthy, whether it's strains, sprains or allowing Mookie to the plate without a protective glove. On top of this, has anyone noticed that Dodger outfielders other, arguably, than Mookie, do not appear to demonstrate any urgency whatsoever to get the ball back to the infield? Can't tell you how many times runners have been allowed to score from 2nd base due solely to lackadaisical defensive play. It's infuriating.

  2. No they don’t. They just have a bunch of injured pitchers. When they are healthy they’ll be fine.

  3. Hot take: you shouldn't be surprised by injuries when your entire pitching staff is composed of injury risks and hard throwers with high spin rates (which are inherently injury risks)

  4. Everyone was so high on their pitching coming into the season even though all of their pitchers are injury prone, young and unproven, or both

  5. Dodgers are most certainly NOT in a pennant race with their playoff history AND seems like baseball gods are telling dodgers and their fans to shut up and sit down and to renuild differently

  6. Look, all credit to the Dodgers for continuing to step up throughout all of this to remain in first place. That is massive. However, is it perhaps time to maybe do a little investigation into all of this? I mean seriously, 9 starters on the shelf, with several relievers joining them? Yes, pitchers all over the league are getting hurt, but I have never seen such a concentrated area of injuries since the Yankees had to play like 13 different players in the shortstop position one year in the mid-2010s. Something in the Dodgers' pitching system is leading to so many injuries. I mean come on, this isn't even the first year that injuries have been ridiculously common for their pitchers. This is a pattern at this point.

  7. Okay, the "freak" injuries can happen. Has anyone thought about the possibility all the shoulder and elbow injuries have something to do with the organizational philosophy when it comes to how they are using pitchers, and what pitches they are having them throw?

  8. baltimore, houston, atlanta : LA have a pitching problem ? that’s interesting … we totally can’t relate
