How HIGH Should you TEE UP your Golf Ball? (For Straight, Draw and Fade Shot Shape) #golf #golftips

Different tee heights and ball positions for what shot shape that you want to play

It goes without saying that of course it’s personal preference on how you go about setting up but this is how I’ve found it to be the easiest way
.
There is two opposite ways that you can look at changing the ball position with a driver
🟡 1. Moving the ball further back in your stance can lead to swinging around yourself more and a flatter swing helping the ball to draw more which then means the opposite that if you move the ball further forward it can help you to swing more upright and steeper on it promoting more of a fade
🔵 2. Moving the ball back in your stance will give you less time for the club face to turn over and if you were to swing the same for all ball positions then then the club face will be open with a ball position further back and it will be closing by the time you hit the ball with it being played further forward

So either way can help to promote two different flights and shapes but I like the way that I have shown in the video as it allows you to maintain the same swing which should make it easier to stay more consistent
.
However if you were looking at changing the tee height to alter your shot shape then strategy number 1 would be more beneficial
.
The tee height can also help to determine shot shape as a lower tee will promote more of a steeper swing and a higher tee will help to promote more of a rounder swing
.
Really it’s a case of trial and error and seeing what works best for you but I would recommend starting with how I’ve shown and going from there if you struggle with shaping shots with your driver
