It’s cool when it’s number 1 in the world doing it but everyone laughs at me 🥲

I don’t really do it any more, but in a brief period where I was trying to swing harder the right foot moving behind and left as a counterbalance came naturally

People need to pay more attention to his impact position. It’s fun to watch his swing after the fact but I bet he looks perfect at impact. People try this shit and break their ankles lol.

It’s going to save him from (physically) turning into another Tiger Woods (back-wise in particular).

I know he’s the modern incarnation of GOATiness, but all I see is injuries waiting to happen. obviously he clobbers it, but holy shit i’d be so broken if I swung hard enough to cause a spinout like that.

  5. Interesting that all of his “step through” finishes are on downhill lies, while the times he falls backward seem to be when he’s trying to hit a draw or a big cut.

  6. I absolutely love this guy. Imagine in Tiger’s era if someone told you the best in the world would look like this one day.

  7. We focus on the footwork after contact… which means absolutely nothing. Watch his legs before contact.. they are solid.

After contact.. does not matter.. he could jump into a full on pirouette and it does not effect the ball .. after impact.

I don’t get it. Does he just have really inflexible hips?

I thought the craziest one I saw this year was that iron he hit out of the left rough at the Olympics to like eight feet

I’m questioning everything I’ve ever learned about the golf swing.

Am I crazy or is he at risk of breaking something if the foot doesn’t swivel correctly? If it caught in the turf for example.

I guess this is a swing he’s done hundreds of thousands of times without catastrophic injury. Under supervision from swing coaches, sport physicians and so on.

His weight transfer is obnoxiously powerful and efficient.

I have Scottie feet…but my ball doesn’t go anywhere *NEAR* his ball…wonder why?!

  14. nobbythenosher

Let’s be honest, if he was world 100 and not number 1 we’d all be laughing at how bad this is and not exclaiming how incredible his hand eye coordination and dexterity is. Truly amazing though.

Holy crap. I’ve actually done that weird back leg comes around the front move and it always works with my hybrid. It’s happened a dozen times or so and each time I hit it good and my golf buddy says what the F was that? I don’t know but it worked. Unfortunately I can’t do it on purpose.

TIL the only difference between me and Scottie is the pants.

  17. I tried this at the range and pull hooked it into the parking lot, almost hit my OWN car

Notice closely and you’ll see he avoids twisting his back. This swing will last forever.

  19. It really is wild…. I’m sure his coach just shakes his head

  20. Zebracak3s

Is it weird that his right foot is pretty predictive of ball flight. It’s small sample size and maybe I’m just full of shit

  21. Useful-Tie414

He might look crazy, but you’ll notice he is stepping through the ball and down the line in each one.

    Weight…transfer
