  1. If it was a true handicap event then let’s see real betting on adjusted handicap, so Scotty starts off in last place 10 shots behind, not in front let’s see a real race on the final. So top ten shootout, with lowest rated golfer off 10 under and so on down to SS off even to start the tournament. XS off 1 under, CM off 2under and poor old Billy Herschel off 10 under,,,,, now that’s a tournament where people will watch someone come from behind and win. Also see some handbraking leading into the final ahead ah ha ha ha!,,,!!🎉

  2. This playoffs suck! Make everyone start at 0 just like all the other tournaments. You want the best? You have all the best guys that made it to the end so everyone should start the same. The best player after 4 rounds winds. #30 has no chance in hell to win. This format is just simply stupid and BORING!. The #1 guy has too much of a lead. Yes players can catch up but man it's close to impossible! PGA has gone downhill with all these WOKE people in charge. I won't watch. Oh..and @golfchannnel….PLEASE get rid of this idiot Brandel Chamblee. He is the #1 reason I do not watch. I keep up with scores but this guy is just ridiculous. SMH

  3. It’s ok for PGAT players to chase money. But not those other traitors hey Shambles? Guy is the biggest di(k! Golf has ‘8 SuperBowls’. Man I thought Trump talked $hit. This guy is king

  4. To see all of the feebleminded comments littered through this petty whine-fest, it's no wonder we continually end up with November b🅰️llots between tweedledum & tweedle-dumber.

  5. It is not the best players in the world. You are missing too many top players on LIV. Although Xander is player of the year. 2 Majors!!!

  6. No matter how much they spin this no one is watching this unless they are bored out of their minds

  7. If you have to explain why it's dramatic, then it's not accessible enough to be commercially dramatic. We're not arguing 'what showcases the best golf', we're trying to figure out what looks like dramatic golf to someone who normally wouldn't watch. This ain't it.

  8. This format sucks and the low TV ratings will highlight that fact. Winning a tournament with a handicap is not a win in the pro game. Just ask any player. It was a better event before this hokey & contrived scoring system was implemented. And as always, Brandel is a douchebag.

  9. The format for the Tour Championship is absolutely absurd. Giving players what are essentially Mulligans is the most ridiculous idea in the history of golf. You can call it a "staggered start" if you want, but at the end of the day, it's still a Mulligan. And the sheer insanity of awarding the best players the most Mulligans makes it even worse. We watch sports for the drama, the uncertainty, and the thrill of not knowing the outcome until the very end. When you manipulate the outcome by handing out Mulligans, it cheapens the event and makes it almost unwatchable, because the guys at the bottom don't have a chance.

Imagine if the PGA Tour were in charge of March Madness, the Cinderella teams wouldn’t stand a chance because the top seeds would be given extra points to "reward" their better record. Or what if the PGA Tour had run the NFL when the Giants played the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl? The Patriots would’ve been handed 10 points before kickoff as a reward for their perfect season. That would’ve been ridiculous.

I can’t help but wonder what legends like Snead and Hogan would think. I doubt if they would even show up for a tournament where Mulligans were being handed out. I’m surprised that other legends like Jack, Gary, Tiger, and especially Lee Trevino aren't speaking out against this crazy format, but I guess they have to toe the company line. Just imagine giving Jack or Tiger a 10-shot lead, they would never lose this tournament. I know they don't have 10 shots over everybody, but they wouldn't have to worry about a guy at the bottom getting hot.

The real drama leading up to the Tour Championship should simply be about who can make it into the top 30, and the daily excitement should come from watching the bottom five fight to stay in the top 30 while those just outside try to break in. We don't need endless coverage of the guys already at the top. And of course, no Mulligans. Every player should have an equal chance to win the tournament.

I get it, the Tour wants the playoffs to determine the best player for the year. So, they stack the deck in the Tour Championship so they can try to force the outcome. But if the top seed is that good, he doesn't need 10 Mulligans. I don't think this format, or any format can really show who is the best player for the year. Because, as with most golf tournaments, it only shows who was the best player this week. Maybe we should just keep it simple and just use the most money earned to determine the best player. I think you have to earn a minimum amount of money to keep your tour card. So, whoever won the most money is arguably the best player.

  10. This is the worst take I have ever heard. Why is he just talking interrupting, and saying everything is fine? He sounds like a paid off politician. Ryder Cup formats is super exciting highlights small groups of players, it makes no sense that Scheffler can have a bad day and not be "The best Player," because of it. The tournament is the same as any other with random accolades tacked on.

  11. A meaningless circus with no jeopardy. Too many second rate PGA tournaments. The majors have legacy heritage pride of achievement against one’s peers.
