Inside a REFURBISHED Pro V1x vs NEW Pro V1x Golf Ball! (What’s Inside?)

Today I’m comparing a brand new pro v1x vs a refurbished pro v1x…what will the difference be and how will they look inside when I cut the golf balls open?

WHAT ARE REFURBISHED GOLF BALLS?
Refurbished golf balls are used golf balls that have been collected, cleaned, and restored to a condition that closely resembles new golf balls. Refurbished golf balls are generally available at a lower price than brand-new golf balls, making them a cost-effective option for golfers.
The refurbishing process involves cleaning the balls to remove dirt, grass stains, and other surface blemishes. Some companies also apply a new coat of paint to improve the appearance of the balls. However, refurbished golf balls are rarely perfect, and they might still have some minor cosmetic imperfections or wear.
Additionally, while refurbished golf balls are generally a budget-friendly option, they may not perform exactly like new balls. The refurbishing process can affect the ball’s characteristics, such as spin and distance, to some extent. As a result, some golfers prefer using new balls for optimal performance.

  1. I believe the side logo on the refurbished ball is the 2013 ProV1X, just FYI, great video! 👍

  2. Pretty sure it's a legit V1x, but the one you already had cut open is the current one (2023 model which is also on the market in 2024) and the refurbished one i agree with the other poster, that it looks like a 2013 version. Not surprised if they made those changes over 5 iterations of the ball. It's been 3 generations in between. As for the weight i don't know.
